Looking for Muiral, spider creature.
South from skull room – Z looked at statue and was stunned, worked as key for the double doors. Crashed parlor, purple lanterns hanging from the roof. Spider webs. Old room, not used in a long time.
Nothing of interest to be found. Unlocked double doors to the south. Large room with balcony. Alchoves with bones to the south.
Z flies up to check the balcony. Enormous statue of Lolth in half spider form. Something hiding? Bone piles start moving, combat. Invisible Muiral cast spells, statue comes alive.
Halaster greets us.

11th floor, house Freth. Caught Zress again, freed Troglodytes, and moved on to floor 12. Low fog over the floor.
Following glow of light into hoard of minotaurs. Found drow allies house Freth. Guide to fortress. See matron. Visitor from Shadowdusk. Free escort through this floor as well as getting the matrons brother to answer questions. Some info about floor below, mechanical creatures, another failed apprentice.
Some information on dragon Glister, shadowdusk may know more. Family from Waterdeep, two down here working on alliance with Freth.
Where is Vanrakdoom, now part of shadowfell. Glyster, bronze dragon is probably there, possibly corrupted.
Tend to avoid the floor, skipping to 19th and continue from there. 17th floor an up here to avoid the shadowfell. From here there is less problem descending. Can not travel directly. Can travel to 19th floor from this one. The gate that weeps blood.
Go less direct traversing descend to the 14th floor and find the gate there.
Make sure we are out of their way on their floor and they will stay out of our way.
We are also looking for fragment of rune stone.
Metallic spider. Iron spider.
Drivvin Freth guides us to the next floor. Warning about bore worm at descent. It may ignore us if we stay out of our way.
Moving through chasm, worm comes. Ninlar takes attack of opportunity and gets hurt. See some mechanical creatures, insects, rust monster. Lyria checks side tunnel, gets attacked by rust monster. Finding a heap of metal, dead hobgoblin. Big childlike people asks us to kill hobgoblins for trying to kill them. Going south, Becky, Erik and Ninlar attacked group of hobgoblins. Lyria sleet stormed the main crowd making fighting difficult. The others killed them anyway and returned. Childlike people let us pass to a tunnel leading to a “Palace”?
Up, follow tunnel to the assumed palace, finding disembodied hobgoblins. Mechanical crabs coming towards us.
Continue through tunnell. Finding metal castle. Ninlar broke in. Giant badger talking to Cael. Zox lives here. He is big. Lots or hair and not hair. Big ears. Sticking out. Friends with metal ones, burny ones.

Azers running forges in the south. Back to where we entered, past rustmonster, fighting transforming platform that did tons of platform. Lyria went down despite mass cure!

Found Orb of Gonging.
Going back south, killed some metal wasps and found a Dodecahedron of Doom.
Back to the hobgoblin fight place, further south. Cael tried diplomatic approach and was attacked. Killed hobgoblins and dogs. Worm came through without trouble.
Exploring a bit to the south. Many killed beetles and myconids. Found stable myconids, Cael healed it. Offers Cael to potions. Shrink or undo aging? Will regrow the forest.
Chanterella. About the next floor: Where hobgoblins came from. Also, likely firegiants. The retreat of Octyria, one of the most accomplished apprentices. She is a lich. Master of Transmutation.

Sounds of metal. Fire giants and hobgoblins sorting scraps. Attacking. Kill 2 fire giants and some hobgoblins. Stone and Lyria went down, Lyria healed and giganaughtosaurused.

Door to east, large corridor. Shouting in goblin. Hobgoblins training. Convinced to surrender.
Weird shouty room across the hall. Who’s the boss? Doomcrown is in charge of hobgoblins, through the shrieky rom. Emberosa in charge of fire giants.

Double doors, canopy. Someones chambers. Stone statue humanoid. Chest with key in the lock. Mirror in chest. Magic, con save. Cael makes statue turn into himself without clothes.
Across double doors, Becky opens into a short hallway w domed chamber. Covered with mithril. Crystals. 7 alchoves, each lit with a small crystal dome, on the wall above are 6 keyshaped indentations 6 inches long, different keys.

Back to shrieker room. A spore that looks like a beholder. Corridor to the north, right side door, movement around north door.
Lots of hobgoblins from all directions gets killed. Cael befriends a flumph called Flatwig. Arcturia is kind of blue with spiky bits. Took the head off a mindflayer to study its energy.
Turn right out the door to find her bedchamber.
Wooden trunk with various treasures. In Portable Hole.
There are more creatures nearby, further down. Double doors east. Corridor south, double doors east, black disc of stone depicting bony human hand. Magic. Sealing.
Human man in golden silk. Allussiar? Boudoir. Rakshasa. Willing to provide information on spellbook. And that which keeps her coming back. A key and ?
Just release him, the piece of stone. Hit the seal with the sword.
Y-key. Spellbook through door to the north. There is a chamber with a secret door. Will lead to her library where she keeps her spellbook. The word Palimpsest.
More secret doors will lead to what will let us destroy her.
North door, rakshasa leaves.
Stone goes through north door to room w statue of dwarf. Wall closes behind him, Becky and Cael opens it again.
Statue of nelfashni in the corner. Becky turns into a manticore. Lyria dispels her.
Bookshelves turn around, full of spellbooks.
Another secret door, small niche. Arcturia's Box that cannot be opened. Nalfeshni comes alive and attacks.

One room to the south(west) with portal. Eric steps through, gets resistance to all damage, and is pointed on by Halaster and takes a lot of damage. Steps back.
South door have two people dancing to a harpiscord playing by itself. Two blue dragon babies? Cael plays also. Eric takes away the harpsicord, Cael stops, dragons gets angry. Nystalancer and Venasorrn.
Dragons killed, a bit of healing, and head north. Erik talks to the flumph and scares it. Double doors lead to stairs going down.
Drow in room w 2 half formed ogres to flies (statues). Vanar Freth, keeps a shadow around.
Erik gets turned into a wyvern and attacks. Is “killed” and turns back. Cael finds another rune and Erik steps into it and becomes a carrion crawler.
Checking doors towards north, man with little clothes and feeblemind. Leaving him behind, moving up the north corridor ending in a door. Two hobgoblins in the room are watching the doors. Secret door.
Through school, several corridors to east, north and west. Two doors w magical locks. The west door, a non-magical shoe w a scorpion in it. The scorpion is actually an umberhulk.
East room, metal helmet on pile of trash, actually an animated armor.
North east door, svirfnebli eating rock. Guffaw Gravelstock. Stone dispels.

One room w two-headed rat.
Moving east corridor. Students, dead, one has a key shaped like a U. We now have Y and U.
West corridor, double doors south and north. Erik opening south. Triggers statue/disc trap. Further down, hobgoblin changed into another creature, freed.

Large room w four pillars. Mine cart, voice says to put all weapons and items there. Four Halaster statues.

To the east is a lava river. East and south to find the others.
Oisin saves Ninlar from painting and gets caught and saved himself.
Exploring corridors trying to find traps and each other.
Meeting up. Ghost possession worshipping Tyr? Do we want to find and kill the Netherskull?
Rambling around not sure what we are looking for.
Ghost reunited with Ninar. Statue w dwarvish writing.

William teleported, finding his way back. Ninlar fell down a pit and jumped back up.

Secret doors south. Paintings. Door w wheel, human skull at the center.
Found the Netherskull! Killed plus a lot of zombies.
Going back north to the sarcophagus to check for treasure. Death rune moves to Ninlar’s face. Dead Dwarf (vampire Zorach Lightdrinker)is angry. Oisìn put fire in the hole and kinda killed it in the end. Leaving behind a nice axe for throwing.

Young red dragon with gith rider discover us and attacks. Gith in stalagtites appear to have fireball and attack too.
Looking for safe resting place, get into more fights.
Short rest. Investigating a couple of doors with rod holes and a scrying wall. Found the stairs. Going to door next to pit until next part.

Offers money to resque his friends and get them safely to a stardock. Long discussion about whether he is evil. Agree to help, going to one of the other locked doors.
Crystal statue.
Z opened other door, red crystal portal, pedestal with hole for the rod key. Open to eastern room w crystal statue. Activates.
Short fight, going through gate to Stardock. Hot area. Dragon eggs to the south. Treasure pile to the west is fake, but Lyria smells lots. Some to the north, we can also hear a lute strumming.
Lyria dives into the northern treasure pile, on top of two resting young red dragons. They are annoyed.
Lyria goes down repeatedly.
Mama dragon comes in. Lyria is polymorphed into a Lyrianotasaurus.
Dragons killed.
Tiziano and Z go to pick dragon eggs and see new door. Z goes ape and picks two eggs.

Aasathra was with a group of fairly pompous twats. Bahamut followers. Dragonborn.

Lots of flumpfhs. Illithids nearby. They are lurking. Have made scary worm-thing to destroy githyanki. Keep to the left and don’t go through doors. There is the worm with a lot of teeth and tentacles. Z thinks it is a Neothelid.

The worm is behind see-through walls that you can not walk through.
Extremiton is the big brainy creature with tentacles.
Z notice secret door.
Brave flumph Klania will join us to open doors with tentacles.

River of water passing through strange conductors at intervals, transferring energy to “some-thing”. Unnatural. Platform around the edge. Strange noises. Dome ceiling. Water coming from the circle on the east. Alcoves with scrawny creatures with two heads. Appears to be at least 4 of them. No loot.
Watercrossing in centre. Water flowing in two directions. Going north. Some minds behind each door.
Egg is not monetary, we still have a dragon egg in the bag of holding!

Met Marc who was saved in space. His ulitharid boss promised 100 PP and resurrection if we got rid of the gith. Marc took us south and through lots of guards and through the door.
We negotiated with the gith to get them to give us half plates and ally with us against the mind flayers. They would if we killed the worm. Neothilid, 210 feet long worm.

Party goes the flumph back way while the gith attack the main gate to the mind flayers on signal to noise (gong).
Some grappling, befuddling and bedazzling later we killed the boss and Marc and his friends.

We’re in the temple of Dumathoin. Looking for tomb of King Malair.
This floor was once a dwarven kingdom. King Malair was the leader.
After a long rest, venturing west out of the main hall. Around a couple of corners there’s an Umberhulk, who’s ruined the bottle storage.
Northwest corner guarded by two metal dwarf statues. Shrine of four deities. The statues represent the dwarven deities Moradin (god of creation), Berronar Truesilver (god of hearth and home), Clangeddin Silverbeard (god of battle), and Marthammor Duin (god of exploration). Tapered brass sylinder on the floor. Part of an instrument? Trumpet piece? Not magical.
Wide corridor south.

Fresco of dwarves throwing gems into a xorn’s mouth. Real gems in the wall, pulled out.
Wall image of a rust monster. Erik touched a rusty spike, stepped through the gate and got restrained for 24h? Small room with alchoves. Ninlar used scroll to help Eric. Eric running back, it seems we are on floor 2 with the goblin market.
Returning through gate, Lyria gets the ability to cast augury 3x without comps or fails.
South door, empty room. Doors in all directions. West door. Furniture removed. Glowing pillars. Corridor north, crushed door, pit. Across the pit, a Xorn. It says something in Terran, Eric attacks with no warning.
Xorn runs, party chasing. Eric and Ninlar killed it. Moving back south after valuables, back past portal and room with doors. Opening south door, new portal. Carved with a stylized image of a mountain with a sun above it. Struggling to open the portal.
Moving on west and south, room with pillars. Stone finds secret doors to the south. Wall opens. Panels. Sarcophagus opens as we enter. Battle axes breaks free from walls and attacks. Lyria kills most with an Ice storm. Valuable crystal panels.
Discussion about what to do, leave the panels and get the duergar to pay for them. Someone coming towards us, invisible. Halaster, casting fireball at everyone except Eric. Eric fighting Umberhulk around the corner.
Halaster turned out to be a grey thing. Two umberhulks? Ruined wall. Large room, doorway with image of a hand pouring ale from a flagon on the south.
Lyria feels treasure to the south west. No secret doors. Back to the axe tomb room. Stone finds a secret door. Lyria finds a pit trap. Stone eventually finds another secret door. Large chamber with four statues of the four dwarven deities.
Lyria hears a voice in her mind promising to aid in revealing the true treasure if the knocks over the statue to the north west. Tiziano helps, devil comes out of the statue and thanks Lyria.
Malair’s tomb. Tiziano finds no traps, opens the sarcophagi. Writing etched in silver. Adamantine warpick, shield of dumathoin (sentinel shield). Stone picks up and throws the shield to Lyria. Eric tries to stop them. Ninlar carries off Eric. Demons have crushed other statues and multiplied, cornering the party to be devoured in a month or so.

Stepping back from Waterdeep into the Skull Room.
Looking for Muiral, spider creature.
South from skull room – Z looked at statue and was stunned, worked as key for the double doors. Crashed parlor, purple lanterns hanging from the roof. Spider webs. Old room, not used in a long time.
Nothing of interest to be found. Unlocked double doors to the south. Large room with balcony. Alchoves with bones to the south.
Z flies up to check the balcony. Enormous statue of Lolth in half spider form. Something hiding? Bone piles start moving, combat. Invisible Muiral cast spells, statue comes alive.

11th floor, house Freth. Caught Zress again, freed Troglodytes, and moved on to floor 12. Low fog over the floor.
Following glow of light into hoard of minotaurs. Found drow allies house Freth. Guide to fortress. See matron. Visitor from Shadowdusk. Free escort through this floor as well as getting the matrons brother to answer questions. Some info about floor below, mechanical creatures, another failed apprentice.
Some information on dragon Glister, shadowdusk may know more. Family from Waterdeep, two down here working on alliance with Freth.
Where is Vanrakdoom, now part of shadowfell. Glyster, bronze dragon is probably there, possibly corrupted.
Tend to avoid the floor, skipping to 19th and continue from there. 17th floor an up here to avoid the shadowfell. From here there is less problem descending. Can not travel directly. Can travel to 19th floor from this one. The gate that weeps blood.
Go less direct traversing descend to the 14th floor and find the gate there.
Make sure we are out of their way on their floor and they will stay out of our way.
We are also looking for fragment of rune stone.
Metallic spider. Iron spider.
Drivvin Freth guides us to the next floor. Warning about bore worm at descent. It may ignore us if we stay out of our way.
Moving through chasm, worm comes. Ninlar takes attack of opportunity and gets hurt. See some mechanical creatures, insects, rust monster. Lyria checks side tunnel, gets attacked by rust monster. Finding a heap of metal, dead hobgoblin. Big childlike people asks us to kill hobgoblins for trying to kill them. Going south, Becky, Erik and Ninlar attacked group of hobgoblins. Lyria sleet stormed the main crowd making fighting difficult. The others killed them anyway and returned. Childlike people let us pass to a tunnel leading to a “Palace”?
Up, follow tunnel to the assumed palace, finding disembodied hobgoblins. Mechanical crabs coming towards us.
Continue through tunnell. Finding metal castle. Ninlar broke in. Giant badger talking to Cael. Zox lives here. He is big. Lots or hair and not hair. Big ears. Sticking out. Friends with metal ones, burny ones.

Azers running forges in the south. Back to where we entered, past rustmonster, fighting transforming platform that did tons of platform. Lyria went down despite mass cure!

Found Orb of Gonging.
Going back south, killed some metal wasps and found a Dodecahedron of Doom.
Back to the hobgoblin fight place, further south. Cael tried diplomatic approach and was attacked. Killed hobgoblins and dogs. Worm came through without trouble.
Exploring a bit to the south. Many killed beetles and myconids. Found stable myconids, Cael healed it. Offers Cael to potions. Shrink or undo aging? Will regrow the forest.
Chanterella. About the next floor: Where hobgoblins came from. Also, likely firegiants. The retreat of Octyria, one of the most accomplished apprentices. She is a lich. Master of Transmutation.

Weird shouty room across the hall. Who’s the boss? Doomcrown is in charge of hobgoblins, through the shrieky rom. Emberosa in charge of fire giants.

Double doors, canopy. Someones chambers. Stone statue humanoid. Chest with key in the lock. Mirror in chest. Magic, con save. Cael makes statue turn into himself without clothes.
Across double doors, Becky opens into a short hallway w domed chamber. Covered with mithril. Crystals. 7 alchoves, each lit with a small crystal dome, on the wall above are 6 keyshaped indentations 6 inches long, different keys.

Back to shrieker room. A spore that looks like a beholder. Corridor to the north, right side door, movement around north door.
Lots of hobgoblins from all directions gets killed. Cael befriends a flumph called Flatwig. Arcturia is kind of blue with spiky bits. Took the head off a mindflayer to study its energy.
Turn right out the door to find her bedchamber.
Wooden trunk with various treasures. In Portable Hole.
There are more creatures nearby, further down. Double doors east. Corridor south, double doors east, black disc of stone depicting bony human hand. Magic. Sealing.
Human man in golden silk. Allussiar? Boudoir. Rakshasa. Willing to provide information on spellbook. And that which keeps her coming back. A key and ?
Just release him, the piece of stone. Hit the seal with the sword.
Y-key. Spellbook through door to the north. There is a chamber with a secret door. Will lead to her library where she keeps her spellbook. The word Palimpsest.
More secret doors will lead to what will let us destroy her.
North door, rakshasa leaves.
Stone goes through north door to room w statue of dwarf. Wall closes behind him, Becky and Cael opens it again.
Statue of nelfashni in the corner. Becky turns into a manticore. Lyria dispels her.
Bookshelves turn around, full of spellbooks.
Another secret door, small niche. Arcturia's Box that cannot be opened. Nalfeshni comes alive and attacks.

One room to the south(west) with portal. Eric steps through, gets resistance to all damage, and is pointed on by Halaster and takes a lot of damage. Steps back.
South door have two people dancing to a harpiscord playing by itself. Two blue dragon babies? Cael plays also. Eric takes away the harpsicord, Cael stops, dragons gets angry. Nystalancer and Venasorrn.
Dragons killed, a bit of healing, and head north. Erik talks to the flumph and scares it. Double doors lead to stairs going down.
Drow in room w 2 half formed ogres to flies (statues). Vanar Freth, keeps a shadow around.
Erik gets turned into a wyvern and attacks. Is “killed” and turns back. Cael finds another rune and Erik steps into it and becomes a carrion crawler.
Checking doors towards north, man with little clothes and feeblemind. Leaving him behind, moving up the north corridor ending in a door. Two hobgoblins in the room are watching the doors. Secret door.
Through school, several corridors to east, north and west. Two doors w magical locks. The west door, a non-magical shoe w a scorpion in it. The scorpion is actually an umberhulk.
East room, metal helmet on pile of trash, actually an animated armor.
North east door, svirfnebli eating rock. Guffaw Gravelstock. Stone dispels.

Moving east corridor. Students, dead, one has a key shaped like a U. We now have Y and U.
West corridor, double doors south and north. Erik opening south. Triggers statue/disc trap. Further down, hobgoblin changed into another creature, freed.

Large room w four pillars. Mine cart, voice says to put all weapons and items there. Four Halaster statues.

To the east is a lava river. East and south to find the others.
Oisin saves Ninlar from painting and gets caught and saved himself.
Exploring corridors trying to find traps and each other.
Meeting up. Ghost possession worshipping Tyr? Do we want to find and kill the Netherskull?
Rambling around not sure what we are looking for.
Ghost reunited with Ninar. Statue w dwarvish writing.

William teleported, finding his way back. Ninlar fell down a pit and jumped back up.

Secret doors south. Paintings. Door w wheel, human skull at the center.
Found the Netherskull! Killed plus a lot of zombies.
Going back north to the sarcophagus to check for treasure. Death rune moves to Ninlar’s face. Dead Dwarf (vampire Zorach Lightdrinker)is angry. Oisìn put fire in the hole and kinda killed it in the end. Leaving behind a nice axe for throwing.

Young red dragon with gith rider discover us and attacks. Gith in stalagtites appear to have fireball and attack too.
Looking for safe resting place, get into more fights.
Short rest. Investigating a couple of doors with rod holes and a scrying wall. Found the stairs. Going to door next to pit until next part.

Offers money to resque his friends and get them safely to a stardock. Long discussion about whether he is evil. Agree to help, going to one of the other locked doors.
Crystal statue.
Z opened other door, red crystal portal, pedestal with hole for the rod key. Open to eastern room w crystal statue. Activates.
Short fight, going through gate to Stardock. Hot area. Dragon eggs to the south. Treasure pile to the west is fake, but Lyria smells lots. Some to the north, we can also hear a lute strumming.
Lyria dives into the northern treasure pile, on top of two resting young red dragons. They are annoyed.
Lyria goes down repeatedly.
Mama dragon comes in. Lyria is polymorphed into a Lyrianotasaurus.
Dragons killed.
Tiziano and Z go to pick dragon eggs and see new door. Z goes ape and picks two eggs.

Aasathra was with a group of fairly pompous twats. Bahamut followers. Dragonborn.

Lots of flumpfhs. Illithids nearby. They are lurking. Have made scary worm-thing to destroy githyanki. Keep to the left and don’t go through doors. There is the worm with a lot of teeth and tentacles. Z thinks it is a Neothelid.

The worm is behind see-through walls that you can not walk through.
Extremiton is the big brainy creature with tentacles.
Z notice secret door.
Brave flumph Klania will join us to open doors with tentacles.

River of water passing through strange conductors at intervals, transferring energy to “some-thing”. Unnatural. Platform around the edge. Strange noises. Dome ceiling. Water coming from the circle on the east. Alcoves with scrawny creatures with two heads. Appears to be at least 4 of them. No loot.
Watercrossing in centre. Water flowing in two directions. Going north. Some minds behind each door.
Egg is not monetary, we still have a dragon egg in the bag of holding!

This floor seems to have mind flayers up to something. Not part of His plans?
Met Marc who was saved in space. His ulitharid boss promised 100 PP and resurrection if we got rid of the gith. Marc took us south and through lots of guards and through the door.
We negotiated with the gith to get them to give us half plates and ally with us against the mind flayers. They would if we killed the worm. Neothilid, 210 feet long worm.

Party goes the flumph back way while the gith attack the main gate to the mind flayers on signal to noise (gong).
Some grappling, befuddling and bedazzling later we killed the boss and Marc and his friends.

Room, tapestry, dwarven kingdom mountain, ancient.
We’re in the temple of Dumathoin. Looking for tomb of King Malair.
This floor was once a dwarven kingdom. King Malair was the leader.
After a long rest, venturing west out of the main hall. Around a couple of corners there’s an Umberhulk, who’s ruined the bottle storage.
Northwest corner guarded by two metal dwarf statues. Shrine of four deities. The statues represent the dwarven deities Moradin (god of creation), Berronar Truesilver (god of hearth and home), Clangeddin Silverbeard (god of battle), and Marthammor Duin (god of exploration). Tapered brass sylinder on the floor. Part of an instrument? Trumpet piece? Not magical.
Wide corridor south.

Fresco of dwarves throwing gems into a xorn’s mouth. Real gems in the wall, pulled out.
Wall image of a rust monster. Erik touched a rusty spike, stepped through the gate and got restrained for 24h? Small room with alchoves. Ninlar used scroll to help Eric. Eric running back, it seems we are on floor 2 with the goblin market.
Returning through gate, Lyria gets the ability to cast augury 3x without comps or fails.
South door, empty room. Doors in all directions. West door. Furniture removed. Glowing pillars. Corridor north, crushed door, pit. Across the pit, a Xorn. It says something in Terran, Eric attacks with no warning.
Xorn runs, party chasing. Eric and Ninlar killed it. Moving back south after valuables, back past portal and room with doors. Opening south door, new portal. Carved with a stylized image of a mountain with a sun above it. Struggling to open the portal.
Moving on west and south, room with pillars. Stone finds secret doors to the south. Wall opens. Panels. Sarcophagus opens as we enter. Battle axes breaks free from walls and attacks. Lyria kills most with an Ice storm. Valuable crystal panels.
Discussion about what to do, leave the panels and get the duergar to pay for them. Someone coming towards us, invisible. Halaster, casting fireball at everyone except Eric. Eric fighting Umberhulk around the corner.
Halaster turned out to be a grey thing. Two umberhulks? Ruined wall. Large room, doorway with image of a hand pouring ale from a flagon on the south.
Lyria feels treasure to the south west. No secret doors. Back to the axe tomb room. Stone finds a secret door. Lyria finds a pit trap. Stone eventually finds another secret door. Large chamber with four statues of the four dwarven deities.
Lyria hears a voice in her mind promising to aid in revealing the true treasure if the knocks over the statue to the north west. Tiziano helps, devil comes out of the statue and thanks Lyria.
Malair’s tomb. Tiziano finds no traps, opens the sarcophagi. Writing etched in silver. Adamantine warpick, shield of dumathoin (sentinel shield). Stone picks up and throws the shield to Lyria. Eric tries to stop them. Ninlar carries off Eric. Demons have crushed other statues and multiplied, cornering the party to be devoured in a month or so.
