DC 10: Sophisticated but top-secret research took place in the laboratories in the inner sanctum. Some of these experiments were controversial.

DC 12: A footnote referred to an experiment with a Qualith psi crystal that went wrong. It temporarily tore a hole into the Weave, revealing other planes of existence.

DC 14: Access to the inner sanctum was restricted and heavily secured. However, the priests of Old Iskirthos and a cabal of sorcerers and warlocks were allied with the high necromancers and can access the inner sanctum. Some brought holy water with them.

DC 16: The high necromancers were able to trap monsters in interdimensional prisons made of mirrors. These were integrated into the defenses of the inner sanctum and trained to kill intruders.

DC 18: Ythoraxhys, an ambitious warlock built the gate to the inner sanctum and its fortifications. She ingested a melted Qualith psi crystal in an experiment, but something went wrong and it changed her.

DC20: Ythoraxhys became the guardian of the inner sanctum. Sometimes, she was overzealous, and the high necromancers had to remind her of her place in the necropolis.
