Tome of Leadership and Influence. Wondrous item, very rare. The red leather that covers this tome is embossed with a smiling man with a third eye. This book contains guidelines for influencing and charming others, and its words are charged with magic. If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book’s contents and practicing its guidelines, your Charisma score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. The manual then loses its magic, but regains it in a century. A description of this item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide (pg. 208).

Nature of the Weave. You have uncovered a series of tomes written by the archmage, Manshoon. By spending 50 downtime days, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you are already proficient in Arcana, you double your proficiency when making checks with the skill.

Stone Plate +2. Armor (heavy), very rare. You have a +2 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. This suit of plate armor was created by Cultists of the Black Earth and is fashioned from slabs of stone (instead of metal). The armor resizes to fit its wearer.

Treasure. Characters who survive the demilich's wrath can claim any loot they can carry. Inside the vault are these items:

• All items possessed by characters who were teleported nude
• Ninety-seven small gems worth 10 gp each
• Three huge gems-a 10,000 gp peridot, a 50,000 gp emerald, and a 100,000 gp black opal
• Four magic weapons- a defender, a sword of vengeance, a berserker axe, and a spear of backbiting (see appendix A)

In addition, the hoard contains several magic items of your choosing (except that none can be of legendary rarity), including:

• Twelve potions
• Six spell scrolls, each of a wizard spell of 5th level or lower
• One magic ring, one magic rod, one magic staff, and three wondrous items

This ends the expedition to the Tomb of Horrors. We hope you and your players have found it exciting, challenging, and rewarding.

Belt of Fire Giant Strength. Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement). This belt is made from plates of steel embossed with golden filigree connected by metal pins. A fire giants face adorns the buckle. The giant appears to be having a hearty laugh as she wears an enormous smile on her face. While wearing this belt, your Strength score changes to 25. The item has no effect on you if your Strength without the belt is equal to or greater than 25.

Starting Gold

Krahharuan Fork (+3 Pike). Weapon (pike), very rare. You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Forged of black, pitted iron, the haft of this double-tined pike is wrapped in the supple hide of a young red dragon. Wisps of black smoke stream from a glowing red stone at the butt of the weapon only to drift away on an unseen breeze. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

You are immune to the poisoned condition and have immunity to poison damage. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Minor Noble. Lord Casplardann has awarded you a Grant of Arms, allowing you to place “Lord” or “Lady” before your name and legally display your heraldic crest on a shield or banner. While in Thentia, people are inclined to think the best of you. You are welcome in high society, and people assume you have the right to be wherever you are. The common folk make every effort to accommodate you and avoid your displeasure, and other people of high birth treat you as a member of the same social sphere. If the wearer has a Strength score lower than 15, their speed is reduced by 10 feet.

Unlock: Ring of Spell Storing. Ring, Rare, Major. Requires Attunement. This ring stores spells cast into it, holding them until the attuned wearer uses them. The ring can store up to 5 levels worth of spells at a time. When found, it contains two mirror image spells in it. Any creature can cast a spell of 1st through 5th level into the ring by touching the ring as the spell is cast. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the ring. If the ring can't hold the spell, the spell is expended without effect. The level of the slot used to cast the spell determines how much space it uses. While wearing this ring, you can cast any spell stored in it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you cast the spell. The spell cast from the ring is no longer stored in it, freeing up space.
