+ The Party arrives at the NE border and after casting spellsCommune with Nature, they confirm the presence of a fiend in the NW.
+ While traveling toward that location, they attract the attention of a Giant Forest Spider which soon defeated.
+The sounds of said combat lure the fiend to the Party, and they soon vanquish it as well.
+ With another spellArcane Eye, they find that some creatures from adjacent hexes have come into this one.
+ Some of the Party goes into the river, and find some hostile Quippers with mutations. They escape with alacrity.
+ As they are leaving, they are able to find evidence of more Giant Forest Spider living in the area, as well as some burrows to the south with a Furry Quipper.

Hatdog wakes up in the barbarian structure after the brawl he had with Alice the previous night. He finds Maelstrum, and with all his frustration, he rushes the other barbarian.

They then begin to clash in the fight pits. Hatdog grows frustrated as he watches Maelstrum barely put any effort to hurt him and easily resist his strikes, but with battle tendency and instinct, he decides to try and push Maelstrum into the deeper pit under the bridge.

This fails, and they clash on the rickety bridge. Maelstrum takes the opportunity to grab Hatdog and he dangles the laxodon over the bridge. As Hatdog struggles to pull himself up, Maelstrum gives Hatdog one final chance to prove himself by dropping Hatdog into the pit, all he has to do is survive.

Hatdog is able to pass that final test, but could not bear the shame of losing. He keeps trying to attack his mentor, and to finish the fight officially, Maelstrum decides to jump and land on Hatdog, effectively knocking him out.
