Both parents were present at my hatching in Ahoyhoy. That’s not common for a Tortle. No siblings. That’s pretty rare too. They raised me away from the Snout and I learned to adapt to Chult. I’ve seen what happens when the monsters come out of the dark. Now I’m the first line of defense. I did save a man once. He was like, “That skeleton was going to kill me! I think I owe a life debt.” I was like “That’s cool, man. Don’t worry...” but yeah, still got this totes cool human academic named Davkas the Adept following me around and writing stuff I say down. It’s fine, I guess. I try to leave him in a shady spot to work on his notes before going anywhere too dangerous. He gets a bit anxious sometimes.
