Leveled up as a Bard, taking College of Lore for my school, Suggestion for my spell, and swapping Charm Person out for See Invisibility. Spent some gold on Planar Ally and re-casting Find Familiar.

4 hours, total of 43 in hardcovers. Paid 50 gp for a Continual Flame spell cast at 6th level from the friendly party cleric, and 100 gp to have a Magic Circle spell stored in my Bloodstone Spell Gem. Added adamantine to scimitar +3. Leveled up as a Bard, taking +2 CHA for the ASI, Prestidigitation as the cantrip, Calm Emotions for a new spell, retrained Feather Fall into Charm Person.

In addition, you gain advantage on Intelligence (History) checks relating to the Cult of the Howling Hatred and the Cult of the Crushing Wave.

Downtime Activity: Learn the Culture (Mulmaster). You may spend 5 downtime days (and the associated lifestyle cost) in Mulmaster touring the city and learning the history of the region. You gain advantage on any single ability check relating to Mulmaster, the Brotherhood of the Cloaks, the cults of Elemental Evil, or the Red Wizards of Thay or on any single attack against an elemental or undead creature. Once the advantage benefit has been used, you may return to Mulmaster every time you gain a level and perform this quest again by spending the required downtime and lifestyle expenses.

You will aid the Corps in battle, help them earn respect, and many other things a low-ranking officer might do. In turn, the Beholder Corps will come to your aid when it is most convenient, and allow you to pick a slightly less pompous title than their own. This may come into use in the future . . .
