You lost an eye while trying to steal from Port Nyanzaru’s merchants, and now wear a leather patch over your gaping eye socket. If you lift the patch, you can double your proficiency modifier in the Intimidation skill.

You have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight and on ranged attack rolls. Magic such as the regenerate spell can restore the lost eye and remove this story award.

While you blow an Eagle Whistle continuously, you can fly twice as fast as your walking speed. You can blow the whistle continuously for a number of round equal to 5 + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 round) or until you talk, hold your breath, or start suffocating. A use of the whistle also ends if you land. If you are aloft when you stop blowing the whistle, you fall. The whistle has three uses. It regains expended uses daily at dawn.

This whip is fashioned from a length of rotting thorn-covered vine set into a handle made of an unusual purple wood. The pommel is a large chunk of unfinished amber with a moving eyeball trapped inside.

You gain advantage on Charisma checks made with followers of the goddess Sûne. You may cross this favor out to succeed on a saving throw against a charm effect that you have failed.

A shadowy underworld figure has placed a price on your head for some perceived slight. At the start of every adventure, your DM secretly rolls 1d20. On a result of 1–5, at an inopportune time (of the DM's choice), an arrow streaks out of nowhere with a bonus to hit equal to the character's level and does double the character's level in piercing damage. In addition, the arrow is poisoned (Con DC 11 plus tier, failure: gain the poisoned condition for 1 hour).

Each time you are shot in this way, your DM should note it below. Once you are shot four times, you may trade in this cert to Fai Chen for a discount of up to 300 gp on the purchase of a consumable. You do not receive change if the cost of the consumable is less than 300 gp.
