Unlock: Tome of Leadership and Influence. The red leather that covers this tome is embossed with a smiling man with a third eye. This book contains guidelines for influencing and charming others, and its words are charged with magic. If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book’s contents and practicing its guidelines, your Charisma score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. In doing so you have writ your name into his legend. You may choose to spend 50 downtime days spreading word of your and Hartkiller's inspired deeds in Hartsvale. Upon doing so, you gain the benefit of the Gratitude of Hartkiller story award. Gratitude of Hartkiller. In spreading the truth about the events that unfolded in Hartsvale, you find yourself blessed by the All-Father and gain temporary use of the Lucky feat, except that any expended luck points don’t return. Once all three points have been spent, remove this story award.

Unlock: Cloak of Displacement. While you wear this cloak, it projects an illusion that makes you appear to be standing in a place near your actual location, causing any creature to have disadvantage on attack rolls against you. If you take damage, the property ceases to function until the start of your next turn. This property is suppressed while you are incapacitated, restrained, or otherwise unable to move. This cloak is made of the pelt of a smooth, black-furred creature. A bone toggle fastens the cloak around its wearer’s neck. Close examination of the gold-embroidered hem reveals a poem that reads (in Common): “Six men in pain; six men rent. Blood, it falls like rain; broken bodies bent. Six men plead; and six men cry; Tearing arm and leg, six men die.”

Unlock: +1 Mithral Splintmail. You have a +1 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. A beautifully crafted suit of splintmail wrought in classical Adbarran design. The armor is evocative of dwarven sensibilities, being simple if a bit angular. The helm is crafted with curling ram’s horns and dwarven runes on the vambraces pronouncing the wearer a friend and defender of Citadel Adbar.

Unlock: Wand of Smiles. This wand was carved from black walnut and has a lacquered finish with a stylized grinning face carved into one end. This wand has 3 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges and target a humanoid you can see within 30 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 10 Charisma saving throw or be forced to smile for 1 minute. The wand regains all expended charges daily at
dawn. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand transforms into a wand of scowls. This item can be found in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything.

Unlock: Pot of Awakening. Wondrous item, common. This clay pot is stamped with an oak leaf, the holy symbol of Silvanus. If you plant an ordinary shrub in this 10-pound clay pot and let it grow for 30 days, the shrub magically transforms into an awakened shrub (see the Monster Manual for statistics) at the end of that time. When the shrub awakens, its roots break the pot, destroying it. The awakened shrub is friendly toward you. Absent commands from you, it does nothing. Unlock: Ersatz Eye. Wondrous Item, common (requires attunement). When used, this orb swirls with a pearlescent mist within. This artificial eye replaces a real one that was lost or removed. While the ersatz eye is embedded in your eye socket, it can’t be removed by anyone other than you, and you can see through the tiny orb as though it were a normal eye.
