Valoreans Mutter war eine Zwergin, die scheinbar ein Techtelmechtel mit einem goldenen Drachen hatte, dies allerdings nicht offen zugeben wollte, weswegen sie ihn frühzeitig aussetzte. Geboren auf den Straßen von Waterdeep, musste Valorean schon früh lernen, auf sich selbst aufzupassen. Dies änderte sich erst im jugendlichen Alter, als der Halbdrache von einem Kloster aufgelesen wurde und ihm dieses ein neues Zuhause gab. Er lernte dort nicht nur sein wildes, drachenartiges Temperament zu zügeln, sondern auch seine besonderen Fertigkeiten besser zu nutzen, sowie durch Meditation und hartes Training zu lernen, wie man sich selbst verteidigte. Diese Fähigkeiten nutzt Valorean nun um das Kloster finanziell zu unterstützen, damit auch andere Straßenkinder ein sicheres Zuhause erhalten.

Durch eine Verkettung von Ereignissen war Valorean an dem Waterdeep Dragon Heist beteiligt, gemeinsam mit Oko, Quia und Gracie und konnte dabei im Herbst eine große Beute machen.
