Bio:
Ryld wuchs als Menschenkind in den Underdark unter Dunkelelfen auf, wo er die meiste Zeit seines Lebens als Sklave (auf Drow genannt Ryld) für den Ausbau der Städte diente und in erbärmlichen Verhältnissen lebte.
Abenteurer retteten ihn aus seiner misslichen Lage. Was sie fanden war ein körperliches Wrack, nur aus reiner Willenskraft zusammengehalten. Doch am Leben, selbst nach so langer Zeit unter der Herrschaft von Dunkelelfen. Ein Mönch der Gruppe erkannte den eisernen Willen in Rylds Geist und bildete ihn in einem abgeschiedenen Kloster aus. Dabei zeigte sich Ryld geradezu besessen von einer geistigen Entfaltung und vernachlässigte die Bedürfnisse seines Körpers, der sich so nie von der Zeit seiner Sklaverei erholen konnte.
Ryld hegte nie einen Groll gegen Dunkelelfen. Lag das Wahre selbst doch im Geiste und nicht im Körper und seinen Geist ließen sie schließlich in Frieden. Doch hatte Ryld die brutale Kultur der Dunkelelfen als normal verinnerlicht. Er kannte einfach nichts anderes und so kam es zum Tod eines Mitschülers, den er zu verantworten hatte.
Sein Meister beschloss Ryld auf Wanderschaft zu schicken, um seinen Geist zu erweitern und die Zeit bei den Dunkelelfen endlich hinter sich zu lassen.
