In Port Nyanzaru übergab Paslir gemeinsam mit seiner Gruppe das zuletzt gefundene Artefakt an Soggy Wren und erhielt von ihm und Nerissa den Auftrag, das zusammengesetzte „Amulett des Träumers“ zur Ytepka Society zu bringen, um seine Zerstörung zu sichern. Auf dem Weg gerieten sie jedoch in einen Hinterhalt durch Verräter und Yuan-ti-Kultisten unter Führung von Lekhet, die das Artefakt für die Beschwörung der Schlangengottheit missbrauchen wollten. Nach einem erbitterten Kampf konnte Paslir seine Gefährten unterstützen, die Feinde besiegen und so die Bedrohung durch den Kult vorerst vereiteln. Nerissa möchte sich nun um die Zerstörung des Artefakts kümmern.
