Meanwhile, you entrusted the Solar Insidiator Locks to Arkhan and Torogar as they soar above the city to unlock the Companion and provide you cover through Tiamat's forces. After some fierce battles with demons, you finally come face to face with Zariel herself. With Lulu finally reuniting with her fallen friend and with her magic sword in hand, you persuaded Zariel to abandon her fruitless vendetta against demonkind by returning to her former angelic self and save Elturel. Finally seeing mercy and forgiveness in your words for the very first time, Zariel embraces her newfound sense of hope and relinquishes her devilish persona for good; a transformation that causes the chains binding Elturel to Avernus to break. Arkhan and Torogar were also successful in unlocking the companion, freeing the planetar imprisoned within. With the combined powers of the celestials present, Elturel finally returns to Toril along with its inhabitants. As the people begin to rebuild their city and Zariel and Lulu returning to Mt. Celestia, you get the feeling that your adventure is far from over, for there is still more to be done back in Avernus...

Arriving at the dock, you also decide to finally help out the horned devil Bezelsteen in testing out his experimental diving bell in exchange for repairs on your infernal war machines, which have been heavily damaged from the battle in Elturel.

And as promised for helping him complete the experiment, he begins working on repairs for your infernal war machines while you look around the docks for any sight of the Wandering Emporium.

In your efforts to fulfill your objective to kill Kostchtchie by eliminating the devils that are keeping him captive within a deep chasm in Avernus, you are soon met with more devils that are now led by an amnizu who apparently answers to another pit fiend by the name of Lucille. While initially willing to let you go in exchange for freeing the pit fiend currently stationed at the Maw, the amnizu decides to kill you instead once it became clear that you were sent by someone to deny Lucille of his inherited prize from Zariel. Surrounded by powerful devils unwilling to let you deal a killing blow on the demon lord, you stood your ground and try to complete your objective as soon as possible before you become overwhelmed by them.
