After some fierce battles with demons, you finally come face to face with Zariel herself. With Lulu finally reuniting with her fallen friend and with her magic sword in hand, you persuaded Zariel to abandon her fruitless vendetta against demonkind by returning to her former angelic self and save Elturel. Finally seeing mercy and forgiveness in your words for the very first time, Zariel embraces her newfound sense of hope and relinquishes her devilish persona for good; a transformation that causes the chains binding Elturel to Avernus to break. Arkhan and Torogar were also successful in unlocking the companion, freeing the planetar imprisoned within. With the combined powers of the celestials present, Elturel finally returns to Toril along with its inhabitants. As the people begin to rebuild their city and Zariel and Lulu returning to Mt. After tricking them into stalling long enough to cast forbiddance near the citadel entrance, the demons realize your intentions and attempt to fight back.
