Ring of Spell Turning (/w minor Guardian property)
legendary
PS-DC-PANDORA-JWEI-S2-00C (Playtest V1)
Show
Notes:
Ring, legendary (requires attunement)
While wearing this ring, you have advantage on saving throws against any spell that targets only you (not in an area of effect). In addition, if you roll a 20 for the save and the spell is 7th level or lower, the spell has no effect on you and instead targets the caster, using the slot level, spell save DC, attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the caster.
Flavor
Everchanging is a tool forged by Gond, the god of crafting, smithing, and inventiveness. It takes on the form of a key and can easily morph into other tools if needed.
Amethyst Lodestone (Beacon)
legendary
PS-DC-NOS-0?? (Playtest)
Show
Notes:
Wondrous item, Very Rare (requires attunement)
This fist-sized chunk of amethyst is infused with an amethyst dragon’s ability to bend gravitational forces. While you are carrying the lodestone, you have advantage on Strength saving throws.
The lodestone has 6 charges for the following properties, which you can use while you are holding the stone. The stone regains 1d6 expended charges daily at dawn.
Flight. As a bonus action, you can expend 1 charge to gain the power of flight for 10 minutes. For the duration, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed, and you can hover.
Gravitational Thrust. As an action, you can expend 1 charge to focus gravity around a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 20 feet in a direction of your choice.
Reverse Gravity. As an action, you can expend 3 charges to cast Reverse Gravity from the stone (save DC 18).

PS-DC- Snakes on a Planescape
Show
Notes:
Illusion. The item is imbued with illusion magic, allowing its bearer to alter the item’s appearance in minor ways. Such alterations don’t change how the item is worn, carried, or wielded, and they have no effect on its other magical properties. For example, the wearer could make a red robe appear blue, or make a gold ring look like it’s made of ivory. The item reverts to its true appearance when no one is carrying or wearing it.
Flavor Text: During the adventure, Sir Nagahad used the illusion property to make his nightmare look like a large, obsidian snake wreathed in green flame.

Notes:
This book contains intuition and Insight exercises, and its words are charged with magic. If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book's contents and practicing its guidelines, your Wisdom score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. The manual then loses its magic, but regains it in a century. This item can be found in the Dungeon Masters Guide.
Defender Longsword
legendary
I
DDAL DDHC-TYP Tomb of Horrors
Show
Notes:
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
The first time you attack with the sword on each of your turns, you can transfer some or all of the sword's bonus to your Armor Class, instead of using the bonus on any attacks that turn. For example, you could reduce the bonus to your attack and damage rolls to +1 and gain a +2 bonus to AC. The adjusted bonuses remain in effect until the start of your next turn, although you must hold the sword to gain a bonus to AC from it.
Versatile.
This weapon can be used with one or two hands. A damage value in parentheses appears with the property—the damage when the weapon is used with two hands to make a melee attack.
Belt of Storm Giant Strength (/w flavor text)
legendary

Show
Notes:
Wonderous Item, legendary, requires attunement
While wearing this belt, your Strength score changes to a score granted by the belt (29). If your Strength is already equal to or greater than the belt's score, the item has no effect on you.
Six varieties of this belt exist, corresponding with and having rarity according to the six kinds of true giants. The belt of stone giant strength and the belt of frost giant strength look different, but they have the same effect.
The storm giant quintessent Dessa imbued this belt with her elemental strength. When the belt’s fantastic strength is used lightning dances around the wearer while a warm desert wind blows in the area. This item can be found in the Dungeon Masters Guide.

Armor (chain mail), legendary (requires attunement)
While wearing this armor, you gain a +3 bonus to AC, you are immune to fire damage, and you can understand and speak Primordial. In addition, you can stand on and walk across molten rock as if it were solid ground.
The efreeti Prince Rashidi al-Zahar ibn Rath transmogrified an efreeti sultana into this delicate suit of crimson chain mail. The wearer of this armor always feels a slight draft, and sometimes finds it hard to stay focused on a task.
This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
Ascendant Gem Dragon-Touched Focus
legendary
DDAL-DRW19-Fall the Cold Night
Show
Notes:
Wondrous Item, Legendary (Requires Attunement by a Spellcaster)
This wondrous item can be a scepter, an orb, an amulet, a crystal, or another finely crafted object. It typically incorporates imagery of dragons’ wings, claws, teeth, or scales. Due to the strange magic that trapped Amaranthraxine’s spirit in the walls of Xorvintroth, this hoard item can’t increase or decrease in power.
You have advantage on initiative rolls. While you are holding the focus, it can function as a spellcasting focus for all your spells. Whenever you use a spell slot to cast a spell, you can immediately teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 15 feet of you.
While you are holding the focus, you can use it to cast the following spells: Rary’s telepathic bond, Raulothim’s
psychic lance.* Once the item is used to cast a spell, it can’t be used to cast that spell again until the next dawn.
When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher while holding this focus, you can treat the spell as if it were cast using a 9th-level spell slot. Once this property is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.
* This spell originally appeared in Fizban’s Treasury of
Dragons and is included below for convenience.
