After arriving on an island in the middle of nowhere we assissted some fairies who were being hunted down - well, one of us did. Afterwards, a group of fish people approached us and asked us for help in their struggle against an underwater beast, that caused the water to be spoiled. Turns out, the situation was quite the opposite - the beast was a young dragon being held captive by the fishpeople, who turned out to be sea hags. We defeated them. As a sign of his gratefullness, the dragon gave each of us a cloak of the manta ray

After interviewing our captive smuggler from the ghost house and delivering him to the guards, we spoke to the head of town who gave us the mission to set an end to the smuggling operation once and for all. After some figuring out the codes, we waited for the smuggler's ship to arrive and then silently snuck on board, taking out most of the crew on deck

After a long and bloody fight we were able to take down the smuggler crew. we took three prisoners, who were sadly not really talkative. Also on board were three lizardpeople, who used the ship to sail to their little outpost south of saltmarsh as well as buy some metal weapons from the smugglers. Curious about why they needed such heavy armory we pushed further, but they could not tell us any more than that their underwater kingdom was being threatened by something. For further questions we were to refer to their queen. Furthermore, there was a locked up sea elf under deck - Oceanus -, who, after recovering from shock and overcoming a little communication barrier, joined our crew.

The head of the Saltmarsh city council sent us to investigate the lizardmen, that we encountered on board the smuggler ship.
We found their encampment 3hours south of Saltmarsh, where, after some initial battle, we were brought before their queen. Since the Lizardfolk is still suspicious of us (not helped by the fact that their shamans seem to be especially hostile), the queen has tasked us with slaying "Thousandteeth", a crocodile that terrorizes their men.
As we marched deeper into the swamps, we were attacked by a man commanding swarms of rats

We were able to defeat the Druid and take him captive. After wading through the swamps a bit longer, we also came across a sentient tree, that was attacked by another bunch of rats. We disposed of the rats and the tree hinted to a group of druids that were rallying the rats. Needless to say, it didn't like our prisoner too much.
A few hours later we finally reached the crocodile's lair. Person had a family reunion with his aunt and uncle, but that was cut short when Thousandtooth perforated him. A intense battle and one dead crocodile later, I proudly had his severed head and plenty of supplies for the evening barbecue.
Upon returning to the lizardfolk's cave, their queen was happy to add another trophy to her collection. When I later joined their training, we found out, that they seem to be preparing for a fight against some aquatic humanoid creatures. We promised them to support them in their battle.

A dark altar indicated something sinister going on, and sure enough, we found a dark magician, who seemed to be responsible for the spider-summoning

We went exporing the ship a bit further, but were soon ambushed by a swarm of Ghasts. From then on it was a fight for survival against undead, monsters, a kraken and a lot, a lot of spiders. We managed to secure the merchant's cargo inside a giant toad and then made a leap of faith for the small ship that was about to fetch us

Sent to scout out a Shauagin-overrun fortress, we left a wave of causalties in our way. We disturbed a ceremony to their two-headed shark god Sekolahian, but were able to slay the beast representing the deity. Later on we found the barracks of the milita I suppose. The battle was gruesome and we were on the brink of being wiped out. Only due to suggesting a Shauagin to join our course we were able to survive.
We retreated to Saltmarsh to report back to the city council about what we found
