If you speak Chultan or can use magic or class features every day to read it, you can attempt to break the code. Spend 10 DT and attempt a DC 20 Intelligence check in front of your DM. If you are successful, you will eventually crack the code in a future adventure. If not, you fail, but you can choose to spend another 10 DT and try again.

Max gold for their level for each character in the party, and each character may choose five rare consumables (following normal rules for the number of pieces of magical ammunition). A character could, for example, choose 2 potions of superior healing, 2 spells scroll of greater restoration, and 1d6 +2 crossbow bolts.

Second Weapon Returned
Each character may choose one of the following items: arrow catching shield, bracers of defense, canaith mandolin, necklace of prayer beads (with six beads), staff of the woodlands, +2 wand of the war mage, or a +2 weapon. (if you are choosing necklace of prayer beads, the beads are 1 bless, 2 cure wounds, 3 greater restoration

Third Weapon Returned
Each character receives either a blessing of protection or a blessing of weapon enhancement (player choice) and when the character gains 17th level can claim one of these legendary items for their own use subject to the MIL restrictions.

Spell Scroll of Intellect Fortress
A spell scroll bears the words of a single spell, written in a mystical cipher. If the spell is on your class’s spell list, you can read the scroll and cast its spell without providing any material components. Otherwise, the scroll is unintelligible. Casting the spell by reading the scroll requires the spell’s normal casting time. Once the spell is cast, the words on the scroll fade, and it crumbles to dust. If the casting is interrupted, the scroll is not lost.

If the spell is on your class’s spell list but of a higher level than you can normally cast, you must make an ability check using your spellcasting ability to determine whether you cast it successfully. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a failed check, the spell disappears from the scroll with no other effect.

The level of the spell on the scroll determines the spell’s saving throw DC and attack bonus, as well as the scroll’s rarity, as shown in the Spell Scroll table.
