You may either cash in this favor to gain a spell scroll with a Player's Handbook wizard spell of 3rd-level or lower, or you gain access to a new downtime activity. At the end of any adventure, you may spend 10 downtime to visit the family and their secret arcane library. While at the library you may scribe a Player's Handbook wizard spell of 3rd-level or lower into your spell book or book of shadows for no additional gold cost beyond the cost to scribe a spell. **To Wear the Cloak** If your character is an arcane spellcaster, you receive an offer to sponsor your admittance into the Brotherhood of the Cloak. Though joining the Cloaks is mandatory for any arcanists seeking to stay in Mulmaster for an extended period of time, and sponsorship is not required but sponsorship definitely has its perks.

| *Wondrous item, uncommon* These sending stones are sewn into a matching pair of stuffed children’s toys: a male and female sphinx. To activate one of them, the owner must hug the animal and say “I love you Mr./Mrs. Wubsy.” If the owner wishes, the sphinx’s eyes can be commanded to glow with a soft blue light equal to a candle. The stones cannot be removed from the toys without destroying the magic. Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognized. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don't cast the spell. Once sending is cast through the stones, they can't be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes nonmagical. | |||||
