With tensions high in the town, the new militia may not be accepted by everyone. If you spend five downtime days advocating, recruiting and training for the new militia, you become a member of their ranks and may always stay at the militia barracks free of charge. Any character that holds the Boon of Bitterwood, (from DDEX03-05 Bane of the Tradeways), story award, need only spend three downtime days.
