Fresh from an extended rest above ground, the warband returned to explore the west half of the complex. They faced a serious challenge when a quartet of water wierds, all guardians of the graveyard Lake of the Ancestors, set upon them far from shore. After dispersing the elementals and swimming to the beach, they discovered the strange blue firelight was kept by The Blue Lady, the specter of a priestess of Yurtrus (orcish god of Death & Disease) as she stood watch over the Heroes' Vault and the honored dead of her clan. Proceeding up a narrow tributary of the lake, the band came across a shallow in the river surrounded by a sandy beach. From the rocks attack six galeb durr a large rock elemental. In conversation with the last of the rock creatures, it warned them to turn back from the ruler of the darkened sections beyond, the One Who Gives NightMares to the Never-Dreaming.
