Aunts, Uncles, cousins, siblings, parents; everyone looked out for each other and the welfare of the clan. I had several friends, and my childhood was generally a happy one. My people lived on the edges of civilization, and I learned the methods of survival from my family. When monsters and beasts crept out of the wastes to attack us, we took up weapons to destroy them. That is the way of a nomadic tribe of the edges of the wild. Life events 17 boon - 7 You once performed a service for a local temple. The attitude of your family members toward you becomes indifferent at best, though they might eventually forgive you.
To escape an avalanche, Westra and a few outsiders travelling with her took refuge in a burrow in the ice. We discovered an individual who called herself Mother Tusk. Mother Tusk is an awakened walrus who is matriarch over a number of awakened animals after their druid died. Mother Tusk assisted in finding safe passage through the Spine of the World, but requested that we clear a side passage for her. There we found an orc burial chamber that had been disturbed by an incompetent "ar-key-lo-gist" that was grave robbing. Removing totems of the orc gods had reanimated the dead orc warriors in defense of the chamber. We fought them valiantly, felling a score or more. I fell in the battle and was revived by a minstrel with healing majik like a shaman's. When the majik users determined the placement for the orc fetishes, the zombie fell inert. I claimed a quiver of 20 arrows, a potion of poison resistance, and 20 gold coins as my share of the plunder.

Mother Tusk grew concerned that one of her scouts, an awakened, white otter named Spritzel, had not returned from checking on the town of Good Haven. We found the erstwhile youngling with a pack of other otters pursued by wolves. The wolfpack hunt was lead by Vundrel, an awakened white wolf. After destroying the wolfpack, Westra successfully harvested the wolf pelts and carcasses, donating the meat to the carnivores amongst Mother Tusk's menagerie.
Mother Tusk requested that we locate and parley with some nomads who have taken a few of her children in hunts. The Frozen North tried its best to stop us, but we persisted and survived. We learned from the hunting band's elder, Shak'Tal, that they were there on the orders of Aluka, their chieftan. Game was scarce and the Rghed Wolf tribe that follows Aluka is being hunted by teh Wolf tribe of Isar, self-proclaimed "the Wolf King." They take issue with Issar's blood rites and foul magicks and Aluka's tribe is becoming sparse from losses to the fighting, Issar's cannibalism, and winter's deprivation. Westra assisted the bard Makara in negotiating a a peaceful alliance between Shak'tal's Reghed tribe and Mother Tusk's family. Shak'tal gifted each of us with an acron enchanted to heal wounds (acorn of healing?) and an unbreakable arrow carved with the totemic symbols of Aluka's Reghed Wolf tribe.
Sent by Mother Tusk to find an overdue vixen named Whiskette, we rescued her from a pack of hyenas that were about to finish her off. Giving chase to one of the scavengers, we followed it back to a hot spring that had been stopped up and covered with a tent while the gnoll tribe performed some kind of perverse dark majicks. We saved one man, but his fishing partner was already dead. We recovered a few trinkets and a good set of armor that the gnoll stench will never leave.
Gained Potion of Growth
Gained Potion of Water Breathing and Potion of Healing Bought Crampons & Snowshoes Westra followed One Feather to Wyrmdoom Crag, the home of the THUNLAKALAAGA goliath tribe. Their matron, Ogolai, asked the outsiders to help the tribe, including milking goats, and checking in on a druid named Windwhisper. Windwhisper was gone, but we learned from his journal he has begun to Awaken evil animals. The animals have called him Feral-Tongue. He sent a winter wolf named Channon to hunt us down, but we struck down her pack and returned to Wyrmdoom.

Traded the Ersatz Eye to a mud mephit named Clod The Dragon Keeper for a runestone of passage through the wards around Dragon's Maw Springs.

While returning back to Wyrmdoom Crag, the party faced off with the corrupted owlbear Frostclaw. A potent healing stew from Old Goat and some very quick dodging due to her danger sense is all that kept her alive against the monster. Story Award: Charm of Lor the Timid. purchased Axebeak mount -50g, purchased 2 more javelins -1g After a game of Goatball with Hideminder and the THUNLAKALAGA, the band retires for the evening. In the midnight, we discover that Hideminder has been murdered and his corpse left in a ritual circle of blood. Ardos determined the goatherd was alive during the horrific ritual, then torn limb from limb. Hasbro discovered Hideminder's chardalyn arrowhead had been stolen; Westra discovered the trail of the killer. We pursued them, but ran afoul of a manticore. Destroying it, we discovered it had attacked and killed delivery team from the Good Mead meadery. We recovered the shipment, but the wagon, axebeaks, and men had been destroyed too much to do anything but light them afire. Discovering Frostclaw's lair, we avoided a pit trap and found her nest. Within it were cave paintings of her plan to takeover Ten Towns and a vault of trophies. The trophies of chardalyn activated, but we were able to smash them. We learned that a Yeti had attacked most of our axebeak mounts, but it only spooked them. Pulling the group from the den, Westra worked the rearguard, protecting the crew from the Chardalyn mephits and a surprise attack by a young remorhaz.

gained a Potion of Acid Resistance Westra and some allies hunted down the corrupted owlbear Frostclaw. On suggestion that Feral-Tongue could be redeemed, we spared the owlbear and chained it down so that we could avoid making the druid more angry. After working out a Netherese puzzle door, we explored a small compound. Clod the Dragon Keeper was in a derelict alchemist's workshop and he told us where Feral-Tongue was at. A well fought battle followed, the determined hunters against the corrupted druid (who shaped himself to a polar bear twice), his pet polar bears, and a surprise attack from the vile owlbear Frostclaw. The ranger Belligrib & his trusty badger mount Snufflegrub dealt with the polar bears, Windmaze clubbed the druid into unconsciousness, and Westra charged across the room to recklessly attack and kill the owlbear once and for all. The druid Windwhisper and the goliath hunter Spearsong were returned to Wyrmdoom Crag to be dealt with by Ogolai. It seems Kaskur (Spearsong) is none too pleased that we brought Feral-Tongue to justice rather than slaying him. Story Award: Sing a Song of Vengeance The characters earn this story award if they bring Feral- Tongue and Kaskur (Spearsong) back to Wyrmdoom Crag alive.

Met powerful drow barbarian, Danifae Melarn, in her residence at The Yawning Portal. She wanted Chardalyn Breastplate for her trophy collection. Gave me a good strong belt in trade.
