Salvo found herself in the village of Torm's Hand on the occasion of the Funeral of the renowned Paladin Klysandral, a Hellrider of Elturel. We were hired by Vulas Bronzetree, a member of the Hellriders, to search for infernal glyphs marked around town and causing unusual behavior in the residents. I set off with Anchor, a Giff Marine, and a few other adventurers he knew. After we resolved the sigils that had been scratched out by cultist worshipers of Asmodeus, the entire fortress of Torm's Hand was wreathed in infernal chains and pulled into Avernus, the first level of Hell. Anchor's crew was immediately tasked with destroying a hellwasp nest and then locating a ship called the *Demonwing* to allow the attendees to escape. Salvo was drafted to help run an infernal Demon Grinder in a bid to destroy the anchors of the chains on the temple. After the chain anchors were destroyed and the *Demonwing* found, we took up positions on deck to defend the ship from the legions of devils attempting to swarm it. We destroyed a half dozen devils, rescuing two adventuring parties from the cliffside, and then sped to safety. Spent 3 Soul Coins. Found 1 *Soul Coin*, 1 potion of greater healing, and a spell scroll of *blight* *Bought Silk Rope, sold hemp rope. Need to lighten my pack.*

| *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by someone designated by Duke Ulder Ravengard)* A **Hellrider’s Badge** is only usable by a member of the Hellriders, and thanks to your efforts during Klysandral’s funeral and the subsequent escape from Avernus you have been awarded honorary membership by Duke Ulder Ravengard himself. This badge marks you as a **lieutenant in the Hellriders.** While wearing the badge, you gain a +2 bonus to AC if you aren’t using a shield. If the badge is more than 5 feet away from you for more than one minute, it vanishes and harmlessly reappears on a surface within 5 feet of Duke Ravengard. While holding the badge, the Duke knows your location, provided the two of you are on the same plane of existence and your attunement to the badge hasn’t ended. As an action, the Duke can touch the badge and end your attunement to it, as he has been granted this power by Elturel despite not being a Hellrider himself. ### Special If you wish to take the **Hellriders** or Flaming Fist as your faction, you may do so.
