Went with some urchin friends to swipe food from the VIP tent at a horse race. Something stupid happened and we found ourselves in a war machine race through Hell? I'm still not sure what happened, but it was mostly Not Awesome.

Purchased Thieves tools, disguise kit, healer's kit, a bullseye lantern, & 5 flasks of oil.

Got conscripted to help Detective Locke track down the source of a Rat Plague. It was a very confusing day.

Hired on by the City Watch to investigate a murder. We figured out it was one of the guys friends who was being controlled by a fiend. Super weird.

We went to a wake for a Paladin of Torm named Kylsandral. Some devils tried to crash the party, so we had to clear the crypts under the cathedral. It was actually kinda fun.

Tasked to investigate another murder. There was a temple / cult den of Zariel under the house. Fought a Hell Hound, stopped a ritual sacrifice. Why do all these people suddenly think Zariel is sooo cool? Sacrificing people so you can be devils after you die? Tha's just lame.
It was a weird day.

Some jerkface assassin shot a magic arrow into Duke Portyr and turned him into a hellmouth right in the middle of Baldur's Gate. We killed the devils that came out, but the Duke was super missing like his whole chest and the assassin was also super dead. He did have a hit list on him showing that Wellum (the Smith) and Segrun Hall (the Innkeeper) from Elturel were also targets. We ran real, real fast back to the warehouse and got there like a minute before the devil Gharizol showed up with some cultists and we had to fight defend the warehouse to keep Segrun safe. Killed the devil right there on the spot... but I guess that means he just went back to Avernus.

Wellum was kidnapped in the chaos. We tracked them down, saved him from being eaten by centipedes, and finished off that cell of the cult of Zariel.

Then Dara came back and told us she's a Chosen of Ilmater and the blind shepherd and his weird goat were celestials and a guy named Fai Chen offered us a ride to Avernus. I'm thinking every day around Dara is going to be a weird day.

We were invited to a fancy party, but it was a trap. We had to reseal a portal to Hell. It was a super lame party. i didnt even get any food.

Ma moved us in with Jim. Couple years later, City Watch snatched her up for stealing. From then on, we begged and pilfered to make sure Jim was fed. Til Jim died. Idiot got hisself executed on a kidnapping charge. Glass was the one hauled him in; she made sure we had somewheres to go.

Glass took us to a small-time thiefmaker, got his agreement to look after me and some other orphans. Dummy paid her for us. Mort taught us to spy and pilfer to earn our keep. I was okay with that. Got us by for awhile. My brother Sean figured out Mort was taking jobs on the side. Arranging “accidents” for folks. I’m not much for murder. Sean snuck out, didn’t come back. Next time Glass came through, I told her I wanted out.

I’d made friends with some of the monks in the market, so Glass took me over to the temple of Lathander to see if I could be one too. She only had to bribe one and break two ‘fore they gave in and said yes. Stubbornheads. Just cause he’s the god of suffering don’t mean you gotta look for a beatin’.

Look, A life of discipline ain’t something that comes natural, but I’m tryin’. Okay? I had to do something. One of my brothers is missing, the other is alive but ain’t doin so great. Cathal won’t leave the streets or his petty gang.
I’m on my own, ‘cept for the Order. ‘Cept now they say I’m ready to walk my own way for awhile. I guess they’re tired of feeding me, but I get hungry being awesome, y’know?

Rode with Fai Chen to Avernus. Had a fun run and shoot fight with the Rusty Raiders. Not too bad. I caught the only two things that looked like it was going to hit me and threw one back. The preacher paladin guy should practice that.
Arrived at Mahadi's Wandering Emporium. Mahadi had us find an imp that was snitching on him. We cleaned up the Rusty Raiders,... well, the bard Jophi kinda hypnotized them with fancy lights for her weird lute thing and we picked off the leader. It was like shooting yugoloths in a valley. Is that even a saying? It should be.

Fai Chen tasks The Crew with finding information to infiltrate a tower called The Dump, blow up a goblin gang named the Rotten Cogs, and bring back a couple of Guard Drake Eggs, some blueprints for a goblin invention, rubble for the transmuter to study the explosives' power, and generally cause Mayhem.
Sera got her hair cut and styled by Burney the Barber (-5g).. but doesn't seem to remember it.

We infiltrated Plagueshield Tower. Not easy since it's in the River Styx. Location, location, location.
Killed a bunch of devils. Sadie tried to make a deal with a bone devil, and it turned over some battle plans, but killed all of the drow slaves. That was super uncool and a total breach of the deal, so we killed it. Devils are supposed to honor their deals. It's like the only good thing about them, y'know?
