Skyfist (Dwarven Thrower)

Weapon (warhammer), very rare (requires attunement by a dwarf)

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. It has the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. When you hit with a ranged attack using this weapon, it deals an extra 1d8 damage or, if the target is a giant, 2d8 damage. Immediately after the attack, the weapon flies back to your hand.

The striking surface of this hammer has been forged into the shape of a gauntleted fist. The haft is a rod of heavy, black adamantine and wrapped in soft green dragonskin leather. Affixed to an iron ring in the pommel is a strip of tattered (but indestructible), blood-stained parchment inscribed with a Dwarven battle canticle. When used in battle, the hammer reads the canticle aloud in a deep, resonating voice audible within 30 feet of the Weapon.

Fulton Stormweather enjoyed a successful career as a swashbuckling wizard for many years before
becoming trapped in the Feywild. His bonded weapon, a rapier named “Raptor”, became the target
of his enchantment effects. Over time, it seemingly developed a hint of a personality. Its attuned bearer
feels more confident, and it makes a keening cry like that of a hunting raptor when landing a killing blow
on an enemy.

• Elemental Fire. This item is warm to the touch, and any metal parts are crafted from black iron. Sigils of flames cover its surface. Shades of red and orange are the prominent colors.
• Heroic. A great hero once wielded this item. Anyone who’s familiar with the item’s history expects great deeds from the new owner.
• Language. The bearer can speak and understand the Ignan language while the item is on the bearer’s person.
• Frail. The item gives off sparks or tongues of flame when struck. This quirk has no effect on its properties

You have wrested away part of Szass Tam’s essence. Specifically, this spark of energy allowed the lich’s simulacrum to navigate the planes – and while you aren’t as proficient with this skill, you can retain a small bit of its power. Choose one of the Outer Planes listed in Appendix C of the Player’s Handbook; once choice is permanent once made.
