Notes
Im not in mulmaster two days and already invited to an art exhibit hosted by a noble house. Good fortune, right? But no sooner than I find a good conversation, a jealous commoner woman torches the portrait of Zora Gos and the Zora herself! Naturally, I sprang to action and doused the flames, but i fear Zora Gos will require strong magic and quite some time to recuperate. Yes, it would be food to send her flowers and a letter. Well, the accused's husband *And* the Zor both wanted answers and being something of an artist, diviner and ritualist myself, I had to say, 'yes, of course I will help fix this dreadful situation." How could you not?! Investigating the art, and her nephew the artist, we found that his works are inspiring pyromania in simply anyone who views them for too long, both the noble and the humble cityfolk. It seems that the patron funding the artist is a modestly wealthy artisan. A glassblower named Doril Cire, a secret member of the Cult of Eternal Flame and a fanatic of Imix. some kind of fire elemental demi-deity, I think someone said. Well we arrive to Cire's shop to find him in a ritual to summon a trio of Fire snakes. They were dreadful and burned Bambooze somewhat thoroughly. I know, its an odd name even for a gentleman of leisure. Very humble means, but goodhearted and great fun. Anyway, no sooner have we finished that fiasco than we learn that the painter, Andrik Gos, was under some compulsion and finished a painting that will unleash magmins to burn what parts of the city are still standing. Nothing for it but to subdue him and stop the flames. I do so hope the healers can help that boy and his aunt. Very strange introduction to the city, but I still find Mulmaster tolerable all the same.
