Hired by Portia X at Cabdlekeep to retrieve a few rare books from an estate in The Wood of Sharp Teeth. The former owner, Lupon Malis, died unexpectedly and she wanted us to retrieve the bools he'd left to Candlekeep. Arriving at thr manor, were attacked by wolves. Strange that they were so close to the house. The butler shows us to dinner... food is clumsily dusted with basic rat poison. Its during dinner that we realize no one on the staff is breathing. All undead. Exploring the house after midnight, Ty & Raleigh locate the books we're seeking, but also documents indicating that the former master Malis was an information broker to espionage organizations. We also discover a basement where a Thayan named Xill Dahvonia is packing books to steal for Thay. Books that were worth him poisoning the entire household to acquire. Ty worked the wizard over pretty well, then Raleigh destroyed him with a *Shatter* spell. + porion of healing + scroll of revivify
