Adventure Logsheet
Sent to watch some green adventurers as they clambered into a mineshaft looking for Deurgar or lost gold. Ran into that strange girl with the blind goat up top. Once in the mine, we found the ghost of a deurgar and a couple earth cultists with a giant badger. Got a new axe out of the deal. Well, new to me. Looks like some dwarves made it a while back. It's stone with a purple wormleather grip. Fancy. Nice Payday for some odd work. +potion of growth. + potion of healing
Sent down the River Dalton to find bandits. Found a bunch of Crushing Wave cultists & merrow instead. Put down several of them and the crabs they rode in on. Found a couple adventurers I'd met in the past and kept them from being sacrificed. Good thing, since Frank still owes me money. Nothing real interesting, but pay was good. +Scroll of Absorb Elements, Scroll of Augury
AfterAction. Sponsor: Furgis Boltsmelter Detail: “no questions asked” protection while his ship was in port Notable events: after an abduction by Crushing Wave cultists and a giant octopus, we learn Boltsmelter had stolen a book of elemental magic from a nearby dwarven nation and multiple hostile groups are looking for him. Chapter 7: Hunting Lodge
*** TRADE ENTRY ***
Out in the city, we happen on six sailors harassing Salvar Brix of the Cloaks. After running off the sailors, Salvar asks us to look into the murder of a colleague. It seems his partner was researching the Cult of the Crushing Wave and a tower several leagues north along the Moonsea that might have housed an Orb of Living Water. Taking a small craft up the coast, we discover the Tower and investigate the interior. Little of value to be found, but at the bottom we face the cultist leader who transforms into a Hydra made of water. Recovering the Orb of Living Water,we turn it over to the Enerald Enclave rather than the church of Umberlee or the Cloaks. Potion of Invulnerability, +Potion of Fire Resistance
Adventure Logsheet
Gorshin Lor, a Lord's Alliance representative, contracts with us to investigate why there have been no ore shipments of of the Falling Stone Mine. Seems they sent a detachment from the Soldiery but some merchants discovered them petrified outside the mine. The mine is on land for the Thinderwaz dwarfs and one of their exiled fighters is a gladiator in the Docks District. Bhrún is facing a fixed fight, so Bambooze and I stepped in to even things up. He gave us a letter of introduction and we set off. The Letter of introduction grants us access to the clan and their Chief. The Dwarves inform that The mine was captured by a medusa and her gargoyles. The Dwarves led a dozen fighters into the mine, but retreated after heavy losses and injury to the chief. The petrification was reversible, but his wounds were ultimately fatal. His daughter has assumed leadership. With their blessing, we managed to infiltrate and reduce the gargoyle numbers to isolate the medusa, then liberate the miners without things getting too rocky.
A storm of unparalleled fury has been ravaging the peaks of the Earthspur Mountains for a tenday, and the Monastery of the Yellow Rose sits in its eye for now. Some monks fled the monastery to the safety of Mulmaster and asked us to investigate a potential plot by the Cult of the Howling Hatred that is creating the unnatural storm. A two day trek across the Glacier of the White Wyrm was far more difficult than finding the cultists closed up in a tower, climbing up and breaking the ritual weather machine. +potion of lightning resistance
The storm built by the Cult of the Howling Hatred continues over the Monastery of the Yellow Rose, and yesterday intensified again, though we thought we stopped the cultist infiltrators. Grandfather Shin and Commander Blueshield requested assistance after an acolyte is discovered knocked unconcious and several other have gone missing during the night. The victim interview quickly becomes a confession as the acolyte Thalia is only too ready to claim victory. She fanatically confesses her allegiance to the Howling Hatred and admits to letting more cultists into the grounds the previous night. The four missing monks were taken into a crypt below the monastery. Her leader, Stormgale, has a force of about 20 and intends to open a portal within an elemental node to allow the creatures of the Plane of Air unfettered access to the Moonsea and the world. We're too late to stop them. Manical laughter. The usual. Suspect remained in custody of Commander Blueshield for justice by Temple Law. Clay is out of his element, but assists Hunter, Serafina, and Bambooze as we enter the elemental node, find a Kenku-crewed airship for transport within the node, and free the four kidnapped monks. Having prevented the portal ritual, Clay sits back and watches the others engage in a long distance battle of magics between ships until the cult is destroyed. The Kenku are all killed by a cultist fireball, but we manage to limp the ship back to the portal out of the node and back to the monastery. All four monks returned to the Order of Ilmater for medical assistance. The storm takes several days to abate, upon which we return to Mulmaster. +1 Bottled Breath, + Balloon Pack, +Wingwear Bought Adventurer's Ring (-250gp)

Within a league of our return to Mulmaster, a halfling stumbles onto the trail and dies from a crossbow bolt between the shoulders. He drops an ornate longsword when his pursuers, a captain of the Hawks and 4 guards of the Soldiery, burst from the treeline and the Hawk orders our immediate execution as witnesses to the halflings' death. We learn from a senior Cloak, Rastol Shan, that the sword was once the Sword of Selfaril Uomodolphin, a formerly deposed High Blade of Mulmaster. Selfaril was trappedin a soul gem in the pommel of this longsword. After a ritual to release the High Blade, we guarded him until he was able to present his challenge to the sitting High Blade, Jaseen Drakehorn, and retake his position after winning a duel. *+ potion of Greater Healing Story Award: Selfaril Uoumdolphin Wins. With his victory, Selfaril and Rastol Shan bestow a windfall of riches upon you. While Mulmaster remains a city ruled by the rich for the benefit of the rich, the influence of the Church of Bane ends--something that provides at least a modicum of hope to the city's oppressed less-than-prosperous citizens. The Church of Bane finds their powerbase in absolute ruin.
