While in the Yawning Portal, I had a bottle of wine with *Anorak Fireweaver*, a Hobgoblin agent of the Lord's Alliance. He and D-Con were talking about evocation theory — you know how those finger-wiggling wizards get when they start showing off their brains—and Anorak showed us this shield that can reflect magic like my Mantle. Said he found it in a Necromancer's Spire near old Zhentil Keep. I figure that would look a lot better over the hearth in my room than that *Staff of Powe*r I took off that dead Shadowdusk insect wizard, so I made a sweet trade. Put it up next to that floating Dwarven keg lid shield I got a few months back.
