A shadowy underworld figure has placed a price on your head for some perceived slight. At the start of every adventure, your DM secretly rolls 1d20. If the result is 1–5, a creature pops up at an inopportune time (of the DM's choice) and attempts to kill the PC. The creature that attacks you changes with the level of your character: tier 1-gnoll, tier 2-ettin, tier 3-death slaad, and tier 4-vampire (warrior). You gain no xp for defeating this creature but the creature was carrying a Potion of Healing that you may claim. Each time you defeat a creature, your DM should note it on the cert. Once you defeat four creatures, you may trade in this cert to Fai Chen for a discount of up to 300 gp on the purchase of a consumable. You do not receive change if the cost of the consumable is less than 300 gp.
