At the start of every adventure, you must spend 1 downtime and attempt an Intelligence (Gaming Set) roll on the chart below. For every 50 downtime that you spend on your gambling addiction, you gain proficiency in another gaming set of you choice. 1: You lose to a very angry troll named Big Trevor. He doesn't believe you will pay him back and he takes it out on your hide. Begin this adventure a only 10% of your maximum hit points. 2–10: Lose 3d6x100 gp. If you can't pay it, begin this adventure at only 50% of your maximum hit points. 11–16: Lose 3d6x10 gp. 13–14: Lose 2d6x10 gp. 17–20: Lose 3d6 gp. 21–22: Surprise! You are a winner! Gain 3d6 gp! 23–24: You are getting good at this! Gain 1d6x10 gp! 25–26: Shark! You win a potion of healing or a spell scroll of a 1st level spell found in the Player's Handbook. 27+: Impossible! You win three pieces of +1 ammunition (your choice) and a vial of alchemist's fire from Big Trevor in a high-stakes game. The troll assumes you cheated him and he sends a minion to end you and get his stuff back. The DM may add this creature at a time of their choosing: tribal warrior (Tier 1), hobgoblin captain (Tier 2), assassin (Tier 3), and vampire (Tier 4).
