Bluetooth Ale

Characters returning to the Yawning Portal blue lichen for Durnan earn the following story award: Endless Bluetooth Ale. If a way was discovered to set up a supply of the blue lichen to the Yawning Portal, Durnan provides all the Bluetooth Ale the characters can drink whenever they visit. Brewed from the blue lichen grown on the skeletons of dwarves left for dead in the Stonebone Mines, Bluetooth ale is a truly unique beverage. The strong Dwarven-style ale is a rich sapphire color and has a faint earthy taste. While the ale lacks most of the special properties of the blue lichen, it still can turn the imbiber's teeth (and bones) temporarily blue. The ale functions as an ingested poison. The drinker must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, or their skeleton turns a dark shade of blue for 24 hours.

Downtime Activity: Student of Stone. Illsenstaad has chosen you and you alone to complete his life’s work and put his soul to rest. By spending a total of 365 downtime days (these need not be spent all at once) possessed by Illsenstaad, allowing him to tell his stories and carve them into the living rock of Hotun-Shûl, you gain the Student of Stone story award (below). If you are a dwarf, possess the Guild Artisan (mason or stonecutter) background, or are otherwise proficient in mason’s tools; you complete this in half the normal time.
Student of Stone: You have studied under the tutelage of Illsenstaad, a legendary stone giant loremaster and stone carver. You gain the benefit of the dwarven Stonecunning trait. If you already possess the Stonecunning trait, you triple your proficiency bonus instead of doubling it. In addition, you also gain proficiency in mason’s tools and the Giant language if you are not already proficient

You’ve allowed the artifact called Dawn’s Beacon to place you under and extremely powerful enchantment. At some point in the future, if you find yourself in the presence of the Xanathar, you must attempt to kill the creature. This enchantment doesn’t take full effect until you reach 9th level. So, between 1st and 8th level this enchantment doesn’t compel you to action. Evidently, Dawn’s Beacon wants you to have a chance of success.

When this condition has been fulfilled and if you find yourself in the presence of this creature, you must attempt to kill it immediately. Each round you choose not to attack the Xanathar you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw DC 17 or take 3d10 psychic damage, or half as much on a successful save. This enchantment is only dispelled if you succeed at your task, or if you’re the recipient of a wish spell.
