Magic Items
Character | Name | Rarity | Location | Table | Result | Counts? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Scimitar of Speed (A) | Very Rare | Out of the Abyss Chapter 15 | true | |||
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, you can make one attack with it as a bonus action on each of your turns. Proficiency with a scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it. | ||||||
Order of the Silver Dragon Shield (+2 Shield, +2 Initiative) | Rare | DDHC-CoS Curse of Strahd Castle Ravenloft | true | |||
This +2 shield emblazoned with a stylized silver dragon that is the emblem of the Order of the Silver Dragon. The shield whispers warnings to its bearer, granting a +2 bonus to initiative if the bearer isn’t incapacitated. | ||||||
Opal of the Ild Rune | Rare | DDAL05-11 Forgotten Traditions | true | |||
This triangular fire opal measures about three inches on each side and is half an inch thick. The ild (fire) rune shimmers within its core, causing it to be slightly warm to the touch. The opal has the following properties, which work only while it's on your person. Ignite. As an action, you can ignite an object within 10 feet of you. The object must be flammable, and the fire starts in a circle no larger than 1 foot in diameter. Fire's Friend. You have resistance to cold damage. Fire Tamer. As an action, you can extinguish any open flame within 10 feet of you. You choose how much fire to extinguish in that radius. Gift of Flame. You can transfer the opal's magic to a nonmagical item — a weapon or a suit of armor — by tracing the ild rune there with your finger. The transfer takes 8 hours of work that requires the two items to be within 5 feet of each other. At the end, the opal is destroyed, and the rune appears in red on the chosen item, which gains a benefit based on its form: Weapon. The weapon is now an uncommon magic weapon. It deals an extra 1d6 fire damage to any target it hits. Armor. The armor is now a rare magic item that requires attunement. You have resistance to cold damage while wearing the armor. | ||||||
Oathbow | Very Rare | DDAL-DRW-08 The Harrowing of Hell | true | |||
This particular oathbow is made of blackened, cooled lava, its string glowing as if red-hot. When you nock an arrow on this bow, it whispers in Elvish, “Swift defeat to my Enemies.” When you use this weapon to make a ranged Attack, you can, as a Command phrase, say, “Swift death to you who have wronged me.” The target of your Attack becomes your Sworn Enemy until it dies or until dawn seven days later. You can have only one such Sworn Enemy at a time. When your Sworn Enemy dies, you can choose a new one after the next dawn. When you make a ranged Attack roll with this weapon against your Sworn Enemy, you have advantage on the roll. In addition, your target gains no benefit from cover, other than total cover, and you suffer no disadvantage due to Long Range. If the Attack hits, your Sworn Enemy takes an extra 3d6 piercing damage. While your Sworn Enemy lives, you have disadvantage on Attack rolls with all other Weapons. | ||||||
Grey Robe of the Archmagi | Legendary | DDAL00-03 Those That Came Before | true | |||
Robe of the Archmagi Wondrous Item, Major, Legendary (Requires Attunement by a Sorcerer, Warlock, or Wizard) This elegant garment is made from exquisite cloth of white, gray, or black and adorned with silvery runes. The robe's color corresponds to the alignment for which the item was created. A white robe was made for good, gray for neutral, and black for evil. You can't attune to a robe of the archmagi that doesn't correspond to your alignment. You gain these benefits while wearing the robe: If you aren't wearing armor, your base Armor Class is 15 + your Dexterity modifier. You have advantage on saving throws against spell and other magical effects. Your spell save DC and spell attack bonus each increase by 2. Originally crafted during the height of the Netherese Empire, this robe is a warm gray color and very plush. It is stitched with silver thread and the back is covered by Rhaugilath’s arcane sigil mixed with the sign of Mystryl. | ||||||
Serpent Scale Armor | Uncommon | DDHC-CM Book of Cylinders | true | |||
This suit of magic armor is made from shimmering scales. While wearing it, you can apply your full Dexterity modifier (instead of a maximum of +2) when determining your Armor Class. In addition, this armor does not impose disadvantage on your Dexterity (Stealth) checks. | ||||||
Dragon Wing Handcrossbow (poison) | Rare | true | ||||
The limb tips of this magic bow are shaped like a dragon’s wings, and the weapon is infused with the essence of a chromatic, gem, or metallic dragon’s breath. When you hit with an attack roll using this magic bow, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the same type as the breath infused in the bow—acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder. If you load no ammunition in the weapon, it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when you pull back the string. The ammunition created by the bow vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target. |
