Rhythm-Maker’s Drum, +2. Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a bard). While holding this drum, you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your bard spells. As an action, you can play the drum to regain one use of your Bardic Inspiration feature. This property of the drum can’t be used again until the next dawn. Language. The bearer can speak and understand Deep Speech while the item is on the bearer's person. This drum was used in a ritual sacrifice to summon otherworldly beings into this world. To unsuspecting ears, the sounds produced by this drum are like the thumping of heartbeats. Smokepowder (Consumable). Wonderous item, uncommon. Smokepowder is a magical explosive chiefly used to propel a bullet out of the barrel of a firearm. It is stored in airtight wooden kegs or tiny, waterproof leather packets. A packet contains enough smokepowder for five shots, and a keg holds enough smokepowder for five hundred shots. If smokepowder is set on fire, dropped, or otherwise handled roughly, it explodes and deals fire damage to each creature or object within 20 feet of it: 1d6 for a packet, 9d6 for a keg. A successful DC 12 Dexterity saving throw halves the damage. Casting dispel magic on smokepowder renders it permanently inert. 1x Musket |

Staff of the Woodlands. Weapon (quarterstaff), rare (requires attunement by a druid). This item has been meticulously trimmed and tended to in such a way that it appears to be a smaller version of one of the immense jungle trees in Chult. The staff’s creator even went so far as to create a small diorama of what looks like a tiny village in the upper reaches of the staff’s branches—complete with tiny, string bridges connecting tiny, straw houses. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide. Potion of Necrotic Resistance. Potion of Greater Healing. |

Zion Defina (Bracers of Defense). Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement). The bracers are white in color, with veins of gold running around it. Whenever an enemy’s attack roll misses to hit you, a purple-hued magical illusion appears briefly in the form of a young human woman with long hair. The illusion moves swiftly to protect you from the attack before it vanishes. Talking Doll. Wondrous item, common. The doll is made out of clay, with small purple garnet stones as its eyes. The doll comes with six default phrases that it randomly says in a young woman’s voice whenever someone picks it up: |

Zion Strika (Boots of Speed). Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement). The boots are white in color and trimmed with gold. While the effects of these boots are active, a bluish magical illusion of a young human man wielding a glaive appears, chasing you whenever you move, or distracting any creature attempting to make an opportunity attack against you. Liriod (Pole of Collapsing). Wondrous item, common. Sculted along the shaft of this 1-foot-long rod made of gray marble are two blue dragon wyrmlings fighting. When this magic item reverts to a 10-foot-pole, the rod splits in half horizontally as it elongates, and a magical 9-foot long crackling, harmless, black lightning connects both ends of the pole. Compass. The Wielder can use an action to learn which way is north. |

2023-04-04 18:00 | DDHC-JRC 09 Between Tangled Roots | 1 | 1 | 825 | 10 | Necklace of Prayer Beads, Necklace of Adaptation, Staff of the Python | Show | |
Necklace of Prayer Beads. Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a cleric, druid or paladin). The necklace’s beads look like tiny fangs and include a bead of wind walk and 1d4 other magic beads. Arrow of Dragon Slaying. Ammunition, very rare. An arrow of slaying is a magic weapon meant to slay a particular kind of creature. Some are more focused than others; for example, there are both arrows of dragon slaying and arrows of blue dragon slaying. If a creature belonging to the type, race, or group associated with an arrow of slaying takes damage from the arrow, the creature must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking an extra 6d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much extra damage on a successful one. Once an arrow of slaying deals its extra damage to a creature, it becomes a nonmagical arrow. Necklace of Adaptation. Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunment). While wearing this necklace, you can breathe normally in any environment, and you have advantage on saving throws made against harmful gases and vapors (such as cloudkill and stinking cloud effects, inhaled poisons, and the breath weapons of some dragons). Staff of the Python. Staff, weapon, uncommon (requires attunement by a cleric, druid, or warlock). You can use an action to speak this staff's command word and throw the staff on the ground within 10 feet of you. The staff becomes a giant constrictor snake under your control and acts on its own initiative count. By using a bonus action to speak the command word again, you return the staff to its normal form in a space formerly occupied by the snake. On your turn, you can mentally command the snake if it is within 60 feet of you and you aren't incapacitated. You decide what action the snake takes and where it moves during its next turn, or you can issue it a general command, such as to attack your enemies or guard a location. If the snake is reduced to 0 hit points, it dies and reverts to its staff form. The staff then shatters and is destroyed. If the snake reverts to staff form before losing all its hit points, it regains all of them. |
