Specifically, this spark of energy was originally wrested from the vile lich himself, and grants one additional 9th level spell slot, provided that you already have one. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide under the entry for Boon of High Magic.

Planes in Pockets in Planes. The Thayan mansion in Mulmaster was comprised of a series of nested demiplanes and pocket dimensions, and you survived the exploration – and brought back lingering traces of that magic. As a result, you always know what plane you are on, and if you find yourself away from your native plane you may excise this magic to return to the Prime Material plane immediately. If you do this, destroy this story award.

Belt of Storm Giant Strength. Wondrous Item, Legendary. While wearing this belt, your Strength score changes to a score granted by the belt (29). If your Strength is already equal to or greater than the belt's score, the item has no effect on you. Six varieties of this belt exist, corresponding with and having rarity according to the six kinds of true giants. The belt of stone giant strength and the belt of frost giant strength look different, but they have the same effect. The storm giant quintessent Dessa imbued this belt with her elemental strength. When the belt’s fantastic strength is used lightning dances around the wearer while a warm desert wind blows in the area. This item can be found in the Dungeon Masters Guide.

Hall of Omens. Characters can spend time in the Hall of Omens learning about signs and portents. A wizard of the school of divination may spend 200 downtime days to gain 1 additional portent dice. Favor of Candlekeep. You surrender of the copper tablet to the acolytes of Oghma at Candlekeep has them overjoyed. The next time you visit Candlekeep or interact with the faithful of Oghma, any Charisma ability checks you make are made with advantage.

2020-01-16 13:30 DDAL00-10 Trust and Understanding 1 1 3000 -1 Holy Symbol of Kyuss (Talisman of Ultimate Evil) Show

Pre-cast Wish (1 DT).

Holy Symbol of Kyuss (Talisman of Ultimate Evil). Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a creature of evil alignment).

This platinum disc has the holy symbol of Kyuss on its face: a skull with intertwined worms emerging from the eyes, nose, and mouth. The worms appear to move ever so slightly. This item symbolizes unrepentant evil. While in possession of this item, you must spend 5 downtime days between every adventure in meditation, lest your soul and body be consumed by Kyuss; if you are consumed, you are immediately and permanently retired from D&D Adventurers League play.

A creature that is neither good nor evil in alignment takes 6d6 necrotic damage upon touching the talisman. A good creature takes 8d6 necrotic damage upon touching the talisman. Either sort of creature takes the damage again each time it ends its turn holding or carrying the talisman.
If you are an evil cleric or paladin, you can use the talisman as a holy symbol, and you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls while you wear or hold it.

The talisman has 6 charges. If you are wearing or holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 charge from the talisman and choose one creature you can see on the ground within 120 feet of you. If the target is of good alignment, a flaming fissure opens under it. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or fall into the fissure and be destroyed, leaving no remains. The fissure then closes, leaving no trace of its existence. When you expend the last charge, the talisman dissolves into foul-smelling slime and is destroyed.

2020-01-13 11:00 DDAL07-15 Streams of Crimson 1 1 3000 Efreeti Chain Show

Efreeti Chain. Armor (chain mail), legendary (requires attunement). While wearing this armor, you gain a +3 bonus to AC, you are immune to fire damage, and you can understand and speak Primordial. In addition, you can stand on and walk across molten rock as if it were solid ground. The efreeti Prince Rashidi al-Zahar ibn Rath transmogrified an efreeti sultana into this delicate suit of crimson chain mail. The wearer of this armor always feels a slight draft, and sometimes finds it hard to stay focused on a task.

The Opal Pendant. You captured part of the Soulmonger’s energy within a magic opal pendant taken from a Thayan zulkir. At some point in the future, you and your allies will need to deal with this nefarious device permanently. Perhaps this will aid you when you do.

Prince Rashidi al-Zahar ibn Rath, seventeenth son of Rathiman the Wise, who is the Sultan of the Obsidian Mountains and Ruby Palace, Suzerain of the Sparkling Desert, and high vizier of the City of Brass, may his reign remain ceaseless and ever burning.

2020-01-12 12:00 DDAL07-14 The Fathomless Depths of Ill Intent 1 1 800 The Mask of Wompona Yarp (Helm of Brilliance) Show

The Mask of Wompona Yarp (Helm of Brilliance). Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement). This dazzling helm is set with 1d10 diamonds, 2d10 rubies, 3d10 fire opals, and 4d10 opals. Any gem pried from the helm crumbles to dust. When all the gems are removed or destroyed, the helm loses its magic.
You gain the following benefits while wearing it:
• You can use an action to cast one of the following spells (save DC 18), using one of the helm's gems of the specified type as a component: daylight (opal), fireball (fire opal), prismatic spray (diamond), or wall of fire (ruby). The gem is destroyed when the spell is cast and disappears from the helm.
• As long as it has at least one diamond, the helm emits dim light in a 30-foot radius when at least one undead is within that area. Any undead that starts its turn in that area takes 1d6 radiant damage.
• As long as the helm has at least one ruby, you have resistance to fire damage.
• As long as the helm has at least one fire opal, you can use an action and speak a command word to cause one weapon you are holding to burst into flames. The flames emit bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. The flames are harmless to you and the weapon. When you hit with an attack using the blazing weapon, the target takes an extra 1d6 fire damage. The flames last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or stow the weapon.
Roll a d20 if you are wearing the helm and take fire damage as a result of failing a saving throw against a spell. On a roll of 1, the helm emits beams of light from its remaining gems. Each creature within 60 feet of the helm other than you must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or be struck by a beam, taking radiant damage equal to the number of gems in the helm. The helm and its gems are then destroyed. This item is found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
This monstrous batiri goblin mask is made of lacquered wood and its gems carved to resemble numerous unblinking eyes. When a gem is used, the surrounding wood closes around it like an eyelid. When found, the helm has 6 diamonds, 5 rubies, 17 fire opals, and 34 opals.

Mage's Spellbook. This hardcover tome with a glossy cover has several sections of pages that have separated from the binding. Though joining the Cloaks is mandatory for any arcanists seeking to stay in Mulmaster for an extended period of time, and sponsorship is not required, Zora Culkin's sponsorship will definitely have its perks.

Tome of Leadership and Influence. Wondrous item, very rare. The red leather that covers this tome is embossed with a smiling man with a third eye. This book contains guidelines for influencing and charming others, and its words are charged with magic. If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book’s contents and practicing its guidelines, your Charisma score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. The manual then loses its magic, but regains it in a century. A description of this item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide (pg. 208).

Warden (Spellguard Shield). Shield, very rare, requires attunement. While holding this shield, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and spell attacks have disadvantage against you. Created by Brinora for her lover, and later husband, Richard, this shield is made of multicolored glass. While it appears fragile, it is just as strong as a regular shield. Although the picture that was initially formed was Brinora’s arcane sigil, the pattern rearranges appropriately for the wielder, forming a holy symbol or other simple image of great meaning.

Brinora's Grimoire. The lock on this impressive leather bound tome popped open when Brinora died, and refuses to stay shut, even though you later figured out the magical sequence that was the key. The book is immune to acid, cold, fire, lightning, and thunder damage, in addition to poison and psychic, and projects a shield of force around itself to prevent objects from striking it. None of these properties are able to help you in combat, though the contents might, if you can decipher them. The spellbook is completely full, so no spells can be added.
1st: absorb elements, chromatic orb, detect magic, earth tremor, feather fall, identify, protection from evil and good, mage armor, magic missile, shield
2nd: blur, darkvision, detect thoughts, earthbind, Melf’s acid arrow, mirror image, misty step, see invisibility
3rd: counterspell, dispel magic, fly, fireball, glyph of warding, haste, lightning bolt, Melf’s minute meteors
4th: banishment, dimension door, fire shield, greater invisibility, stoneskin
5th: cone of cold, scrying, transmute rock, wall of force
6th: chain lightning, globe of invulnerability, guards and wards, true seeing
7th: prismatic spray, teleport
8th: antimagic field, mind blank
9th: foresight, time stop

The Great Readers spend many weeks poring over the ancient artifact’s hidden meanings and may one day puzzle out where the missing section is located. The next time you visit Candlekeep or interact with the faithful of Oghma, any Charisma ability checks you make are made with advantage.

Gray Robe of the Archmagi. Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a sorcerer, wizard, or warlock). Originally crafted during the height of the Netherese Empire, this robe is a warm gray color and very plush. It is stitched with silver thread and the back is covered by Rhaugilath’s arcane sigil mixed with the sign of Mystryl. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Rooster (Wand of Wonder). Wand, rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster). Rhaugilath’s efforts to record the history of the Netherese Empire sometimes incorporated some unsavory elements… such as the transmogrification of a chaos sorcerer into this elegant wand. Covered in swirls, whorls, dizzying patterns, knobs, and clicky bits, it thrums and hums in your hand. This item can be found in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

2020-01-16 13:30 DDAL00-10 Trust and Understanding 1 3000 -1 Holy Symbol of Kyuss (Talisman of Ultimate Evil) Show

2020-01-13 11:00 DDAL07-15 Streams of Crimson 1 3000 Efreeti Chain Show

2020-01-12 12:00 DDAL07-14 The Fathomless Depths of Ill Intent 1 800 The Mask of Wompona Yarp (Helm of Brilliance) Show

Though joining the Cloaks is mandatory for any arcanists seeking to stay in Mulmaster for an extended period of time, and sponsorship is not required, Zora Culkin's sponsorship will definitely have its perks.
