Portal Compass (Portentiate Badge). Wondrous Item, uncommon. This portable arcane instrument points in the direction of the last portal it passed through while it and the portal are on the same plane of existence. If that portal no longer exists, the needle becomes static until the compass passes through a new portal. Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse • Sigil and the Outlands, pg. 13. “A bronze badge engraved with the four houses of the Planar Portentiate Academy.” Beacon. The bearer can use a bonus action to cause the item to shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet, or to extinguish the light. Enduring Spellbook (Portent Tome). Wondrous Item, common. This spellbook, along with anything written on its pages, can’t be damaged by fire or immersion in water. In addition, the spellbook doesn’t deteriorate with age. Xanathar's Guide to Everything, pg. 137. “Pages fashioned from the vines of a razorvine blight, and bound in dark silks a white-silver scale decorates the front of the tome.” Guardian. The item whispers warnings to its bearer, granting a +2 bonus to initiative if the bearer isn’t incapacitated. The following spell is scribed in the book: Disguise Self. Keoghtom's Ointment. Potion, uncommon. This glass jar, 3 inches in diameter, contains 5 doses of a thick mixture that smells faintly of aloe. The jar and its contents weigh 1/2 pound. As an action, one dose of the ointment can be swallowed or applied to the skin. The creature that receives it regains 2d8 + 2 hit points, ceases to be poisoned, and is cured of any disease. Dungeon Master’s Guide, pg. 179. “Globules of red, black, blues, brown, green and gold, purple and white swirl in the vial.” Key of Time Piece. A piece of an ancient artifact, one of six. Scarce lore remains and most records of this item have been destroyed. This item has relevance in adventures in the Planar Portents series. Portentiate Student. Recognised as a student of the Planar Portentiate Academy. Students of the academy have the freedom to align with any other faction. The caveat is that they should not betray the Planar Portentiate Academy Faction. |
