Chiv ist Trickbetrügerin und Holzschnitzerin aus der Feywild. Eines umtrunkenen Abends stolperte sie in einen ihr unbekannten Teil des nahen Waldes. Am nächsten Morgen erwachte sie am Fuß eines uralten Baumes und fand in einer Höhle darunter einen rubinfarbenen, hölzernen Ring. Ihr war schnell klar, dass es sich dabei um ein seltenes und von Magie durchdrungenes Objekt handelte. Als sie den Ring berührte, erklang eine spöttische Stimme in ihrem Kopf. Diese versprach ihr große Macht, wenn sie den d im Ring Gefangenen befreien würde. Chiv nahm das Angebot an ohne groß zu zögern an und begann unter der Leitung der Stimme mehr und mehr Runen auf ihren Körper zu tätowieren. Nun ist sie auf der Suche nach einem Weg ihre neue Aufgabe zu erfüllen und den Gefangenen zu befreien.
