Rasna hat den Großteil seines Lebens auf dem Meer verbacht. Er war Mitglied unterschiedlicher Crews, sowohl in Handelskonvoys als auch als Freibeuter und Pirat. Als Koch und Navigator war er meist sehr beliebt und auch seine gutmütige Natur brachte ihm viele Freundschaften ein. Jedenfalls bis zu dem Moment, als der erste Maat seines letzten Schiffes, der Maid der See, mitten in einem Feuergefecht mit einem anderen Freibeuter eine Meuterei anzettelte. Rasna stellte sich auf seiten seines Kapitäns, wurde jedoch schwer verwundet und nach der erfolgreichen Meuterei über Bord geworfen. Überraschenderweise wachte er einige Zeit später an einem Strand auf und schleppte sich an Land. Wie er überlebt hat kann er nicht sagen, doch ist er seitdem ein treuer Anhänger der Göttin Umberlee. Nun ist er auf der Suche nach weiteren Überlebenden seiner Crew, auch wenn er nicht viel Hoffnung hat. Bisher hat er ausgiebig die Insel Stormwreck abgesucht aber dabei nur die toten und untoten Körper ehemaliger Freunde gefunden.
