Due to their infernal heritage distrust and animosity was all they experienced especially in rural areas. So his parents tried to make a living for themselves in a big city, in hope to find more acceptance and a better life for their son. They owned a small shop, selling exquisite and exotic materials desired by adventurers, scholars, artificers and shady folk. His father had his ways to travel the planes and contacts to get supplies. But that didn’t help them to become part of the local community or get accepted. No the contrary was the case. People were suspicious and feared his family and the shop with all the unknown and potentially dangerous wares. They were furious when they found out that Sirreus sold them material they initially didn't want, outright lying about properties the wares didn't have or inflated the prices to almost double the actual worth. Boy was good at playing with people. So you wouldn’t necessarily call it a good life but a fairly successful life with no need to worry about food or shelter. Until that fateful day Serious went home and found a group threatening his parents. They were talking about delivering regards and stepping on the wrong person's toes. They banished his father to a different plane “... I wonder if you can return from there … hahahahah” and outright killed his mother decapitating after seeing her husband banished. Her head rolled in the vision of Sirreus, staring at him with her dead eyes, still shedding tears. Sirreus hid in the magical Darkness he was able to instinctively conjure when he was in danger and wasn’t found by the mercenary group. He fled and hid in the streets of Waterdeep for quite a while until he was found by Martin “…there you are my boy … my master has me looking for a very long time for you”. Martin knew about Sirreus' natural talent with people, how he was able to manipulate them and play tricks to their minds and he knew about that from the Great Old One, a Mysterious being from the outer realm, far older than time itself and he was looking for a new disciple. One that was cruel and charming enough to serve his greater cause. Martin showed Sirreus the ways of the Great Old One and how he could use his talent to take revenge and destroy the lives of other people and Sirreus was a natural. Henceforth he called himself Charming taking great pride in his “profession”. After many years of apprenticeship Martin suddenly left Sirreus. “.. we will meet again, follow my teachings and grow strong until we meet again and I shall claim your apprentice’s due”. So he was alone again but this time not the frightened boy he once was, but a Puppet Master in the middle of a puppet theater and a mighty connection to the great old one. He will find the rest of the ones responsible for the murder of his parents, where ever they are now he will make them suffer, one by one and probably also find his father and bring him back to this plane ….
