This has its benefits: it’s possible for a character to advance beyond an adventure’s level range, leaving them unable to play an adventure as planned. Gold Treasure (including items that have a monetary value but aren’t equipment, such as art objects and gems) remaining at the end of the adventure is converted to gold pieces and divided equally among the characters. Part 1 • Rare books worth 100 gp to Candlekeep (area A13) Part 2 • Donated books worth 200 gp to Candlekeep • Xil’s twelve books worth 100 gp to Candlekeep 400g/4=100g each person Magic Items and Miscellany The characters can keep the following items, which are described in the Dungeon Master’s Guide except where noted: • Mask of the beast • Potion of healing • Spell scroll of revivify • Xil Dahovnia’s spellbook Xil Dahovnia’s Spellbook This leather-bound spellbook exudes a visible light-blue tinge, accented by moving and rotating arcane sigils around the cover when opened.
