Black ist in Shadycreek Run, einer Stadt in Wildemount, aufgewachsen. Seine Familie betrieb eine kleinen Laden in der Gloverstreet. Frühzeitig entdecke er seine Neigung für Kampfkünste der ortlichen Mönche und tranierte mit ihnen. Da seine Eltern auf Grund ihres Geschäfts wenig Zeit für ihn hatten, trieb er sich hauptsächlich auf der Straße herum. Bei einem Brand des Geschäfts kamen seine Eltern ums Leben und so versucht sich Black als Abenteurer. Er reiste durch die Wildemount. Dabei wurde er zeitweise als Bär in einem Wald und wurde von einem Druiden gerettet. Außerdem wurde er von einem Großen Magier unterrichtet, der seinen Geruch nicht ertragen konnet und ihm dabei auch Pestidigitation beigebracht. Seine letzte begegnung war mit einem großen Bogenschützen, der ihn in seiner Kunst unterrichtete und ihm ein persönlichen Langbogen schenkte.

You have a spellbook and the Magic Initiate feat from the Player's Handbook. You were transformed into a bear by mysterious magic, and lived for a year as an animal before you were saved by a druid. Magic still lingers within you, though, and you can cast Speak With Animals at will.
