# Story Award **Field Promotion** Your service in the 47th Knights Wing has been recognized with an increase in rank and authority. Unfortunately, there is no accompanying pay rise. However, you have your commander’s ear and have earned his trust and respect. Oh . . . and the Lemish want you dead. Next time, they are sure to try harder. # Loot - 167 GP - Sending Stones - Oil of Slipperiness - Potion of Watchful Rest Potion, Common When you drink this potion, you gain the following benefits for the next 8 hours: magic can’t put you to sleep, and you can remain awake during a long rest and still gain its benefits. Sending Stones | Uncommon | false | |||
Wondrous item, uncommon Fashioned in secret by Lemish stonecutters and black-robed mages, this pair of sending stones is patterned after ceramic whetstones. They are rectangular, with soft rounded edges and a flat, gently abrasive plane one side. The other side of each stone bears a shallow carving of a lidless serpent’s eye grasped by fanged jaws. Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone carved to match the other so the pairing is easily recognized. While you touch one stone, you can use an action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone and don’t cast the spell. Once sending is cast through the stones, they can’t be used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a pair is destroyed, the other one becomes nonmagical. |
