Notes: Auf einen verdeckten Aufruf eines Captain Blackbeard, der für den Kampf gegen die Handelsliga Piraten anheuern möchte, treffen wir uns im "Rollenden Rad". Vier Anwerber der Handelsliga versuchen Besucher in die Lga zu pressen, doch wir verprügeln sie, bis sie sich davonmachen. Schließlich führt uns Gullsquawk, der Erste Maat von Blackbeard auf seinem Flaggschiff Death's Cadence, in ein Hinterzimmer und unterbreitet uns den Auftrag, für 125 GP pro Person das Bootshaus in Shalla's Fang 8 Meilen von hier gegen die Liga abzusichern, wobei ein frontaler Angriff vermieden werden sollte. Im Hafen finden wir das jüngst von der Liga gekaperte Schiff "Quite-a-catch" und können die Mannschaft ausschalten, auch wenn Ferrin vom kurzfristigen Kapitän Zabub erst einmal ausgeknockt wird. Oida schafft es, ihm eine Goodberry einzuverleben, so dass Ferrin wieder mit von der Partie ist. Im "Whining Wizard" können wir die ursprünglche Mannschaft auftreiben, die uns nach Shalla's Fang fährt. Unterwegs wird das Schiff allerdings von einem Wyvern attackiert, der einen Halbling der Besatzung mitnimmt und tötet, bevor er wieder davon fliegt. Bei Shalla's Fang angekommen entdecken wir ein versunkenes Boot, an dessen über die Wasseroberfläche herausragendem Krähennest ein Beutel befestigt ist. Captain Bugbeard steuert das Schiff so dicht wie möglich an das Wrack und Bernard möchte hinüberschwimmen, als Ferrin einen Hai entdeckt. Bugbeard kann den Hai durch ein mit Blut benetztes Stück Trockenfleisch ablenken, so dass Bernard scher das Ziel erreicht. Da er den Mast nicht erklettern kann, schlägt er ihn mit seinem Hammer um und kann den Beutel, der eine Potion of Advantage enthält, aus dem Wasser fischen. Gemeinsam legen wir das Boot hinter dem Wrack an, um das Bootshaus zu erkunden und die Liga bei ihrem Auftauchen vertreiben zu können.

Direkt am Strand treffen wir auf einige Goblins. Captain Bugbears kann sich in ihrer Sprache mit ihnen unterhalten und findet heraus, dass sie regelmäßg hierher zum Angeln kommen. Sie glauben, dass es im Bootshaus spukt, weil einer von ihnen nicht mehr herausgekommen ist. Im Bootshaus finden wir ein zur Reparatur aufgehängtes Boot, das auf Bernard herunterkracht, als Ferrin hineinklettert. Im Boot findet Ferrin einen Beutel mit einer Potion of Growth. Im oberen Stockwerk sind beide Seitenräume von Fallen gesichert, die offenbar auch dem vermissten Goblin das Leben gekostet haben. Neben einigen Wertsachen ist sonst aber nichts besonderes zu finden. An der Ruine der Festung bemerken wir, dass präparierte Bambusrohre schaurige Töne erzeugen. Sie gehören einem misstrauischen Zwerg, der Bugbeard von hinten bedroht und sich wenig verhandlungsbereit zeigt. So kommt es zu einem Kampf, bei dem Bugbeard so kräftig zuschlägt, dass er ihn direkt tötet, ohne dass er dies beabsichtigt hatte. Wir nehmen die Zwergenleiche und die Bambusrohre mit, um die Handelsliga zu vertreiben. Nach einer kurzen Rast legt ein Beiboot der Handelsliga mit sechs Seeleuten an. Auf Captain Bugbeards Einsatz blasen die Goblins die Bambusflöten, Ferrin läutet mit seiner Glocke und wir versuchen, die Zwergenleiche an Seilen wie einen Zombie bewegen zu lassen. Da letzteres misslingt, schmiert sich Bugbeard Blut ins Gesicht und rennt nackt auf die Seeleute zu, was sie endgültig vertreibt. Wenig später kommt Gullsquawk uns bezahlen und bringt mit dem Farmer ein weiteres Crewmitglied.

Notes: Als mit einem Untoten zusammen eine Person von der Lovely Lillian angespült wird, sendet Captain Blackblade uns in den dichten, magischen Nebel auf dem Lake of Steam, um die Lage zu erkunden und nach Möglichkeiten Schiff und Besatzung sicherzustellen. Im Nebel erkennen wir mehrere durch Algen miteinander vertäute Boote und Wracks und halten auf ein grünes Leuchtsignal zu, das Captain Bugbeard gerade noch rechtzeitig als Morsesignal erkennen kann, das uns vor einem Wal warnt. Im selben Moment landet ein Wal bei uns und speit mehrere Untote aus. Wir wehren den ersten Ansturm ab und landen inzwischen am Bullauge, aus welchem das Leuchtsignal kommt an. Die zusätzlich heranströmenden Untoten sind hier nicht mehr angriffslustig, vertäuen unser Schiff aber magisch mit Wasserpflanzen an den übrigen Booten. Im Inneren des Schiffes treffen wir den Rest der Besatzung der Lovely Lillian und erfahren, dass eine Magierkultistin aus den eroberten Besatzungen untote Kultisten gewinnen möchte. Solange man ohne erkennbare Rüstung und Waffen unterwegs ist, kann man sich aber gefahrlos an dn Kultisten vorüberbewegen, die ihre Gefangenen durch Aushungern zum Einwilligen in ein Schicksal als untote Kultisten zwängen wollen. Im Norden soll ein weiteres Schiff sein, in dem sich ein Altarraum befindet, wo das Herz der Schlingpflanzen vielleicht ausgeschaltet werden kann. Nach einer kurzen Rast wollen wir uns auf Erkundungsmission begeben.
