Notes
Hunted Dragons Mark Although you live to see the next day, Balagos plans and deeds will never forget today and the future of each one daring enough to accomplish such a feat. Potion of Fire Resistance Found that and took it back to Ratko Energy Drain Chain (Story Item) Originally described by Ed Greenwood in Dragon Mag. #232, this ancient item consists of two mithril manacles that expand or shrink magically to pass around a living body or stone spar that they’re touched to as a command word is whispered. They do not change size if touched to wood or metal. A second command word causes the manacles to shrink again until they touch something solid — allowing them, for instance, to be put over a man’s head and then shrunk to clasp his neck. The manacles of an energy drain chain are linked by an arc of energy that appears as a flickering blue-white helix of small, darting lightning, which expands to a maximum length of 60 feet. The only known ways of severing an energy drain chain, or forcing open a manacle, are the application of dispel magic spells from a dozen different casters within a 2-turn period, the application of a properly-worded wish, or the casting of a disintegrate spell so as to touch some part of the chain and simultaneously to destroy something made from, or partially made from, either of the trigger substances used to control the chain. A legend lore or similar spell always fails when used to learn the trigger substances of these chains.

Magic Items

Name Rarity Location Table Result Counts?
Elven Thrower Very Rare true
Weapon (spear), very rare (requires attunement by a elf) You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. It has the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. When you hit with a ranged attack using this weapon, it deals an extra 1d8 damage or, if the target is a Giant, 2d8 damage. Immediately after the attack, the weapon flies back to your hand. Forged by the High Elves during the Crown Wars, this spear has vanes of green arrows carved into it. The item whispers to its bearer "May I strike true my targets!", granting a +2 bonus to initiative if the bearer isn’t incapacitated. It is an ode to Solonor Thelandira. The wielder needs to pray and express their gratitude every day, or automatically untune at every dawn.
Bapar Ghalmrin's Imperishable Ark (Chest of Preserving) Common true
Food and other perishable items do not age or decay while inside a Chest of Preserving. The chest is 2½ feet long, 1½ feet wide, and 1 foot tall with a half-barrel lid. The chest has a lock, which can be picked with thieves' tools and a successful DC 15 Dexterity check. Smashing the lock or any other part of the chest renders it nonmagical. This copper-plated chest has gold stripes and a magical painting of dwarves feasting in a hall. When the chest is empty of food, the dwarves look sad. When the chest is full of food, the dwarves smile happily. Interestingly, this chest never gets dirty.
