CCC-AETHER-01-01 The Heir of Orcus Verse 1 The party accepted a job commissioned by the renowned Mafisto Twins to find a lost temple The butler of the Mafisto manor welcomed the adventurers and the Mafisto twins invited the party for a glorious dinner before starting the expedition next morning Mordakai Mafisto invited kdA for a game of dragonchess and after some cheating, kdA won the game was awarded with the Helm of Comprehend Languages and the keys to the library After dinner, the party explored the library and found several books about the Temple of Orcus, Ser Vindictus, and the Bloodmuck Swamp. They also found several spell scrolls as well. While reading the books in the library, the party heard a low volumed screaming from behind the walls and found the secret cellar. Astoria decided to join the Mafisto Twins and spent the night with them. The party rested in the guest rooms and BB were inflicted with devilish whispers (Remember your flaws people) and a bunny was sacrificed for the glory of Archdevil Zariel. The next morning, the Mafisto Twins leads you to the location of the Temple of Orcus and found a black dragon guarding its horde but evaded succesfully The party found the entrance to the temple and found a decapitated skeleton by the lever of the entrance kDa disarmed the trap the first time and and succeeded unlocking the doors The party then enters the temple with the Mafisto Twins Reward 500/5= 100 GP Helm of Comprehend Languages This elaborate helm is made of Avernium, a black metal found only in Avernus. The helm has the appearance of a crown with spikes. The inner circle of the helm has an inscription in Infernal which reads, “Avernus Dragonchess Champion”. CCC-AETHER-01-02 The Heir of Orcus Verse 2 The party proceeded into the unholy temple of Orcus and waded through the undead horde before reaching the inner temple In the inner temple, the party effectively bottleneck the undead and decimated them Some was influenced by the unholy aura of the temple, beckoning them to the black ooze They unlocked the door to the altar of Orcus and found a sarcophagus and 10 glowing skulls Everyone got close to the skulls and suffered some unholy sorcery kdA and Astoria approached the statue of Orcus and found the soul of Ser Vindictus chained to it kdA broke the chains and the Heir of Orcus was released to the mortal realm, furthermore, the sarcophagus explodes open as the body of Ser Vindictus rise as a Spawn of Kyuss The Mafisto twins were angered by the trickery of the Heir of Orcus and joined the battle After a long struggle, the Heir of Orcus plane shifts away and the party managed to take down the Spawn of Kyuss, with BB the only casualty Astoria also gained several years in age as to the curse of the pool of blood. The Heir of Orcus succesfully escapes and takes the form of Astoria in his reign of terror in the mortal world Reward 500GP/5 = 100 GP 1 level up, 10 DT Dread Helm. This fearsome steel helm makes your eyes glow red while you wear it. When you wear it, the glass visor displays your body and any damage you take. Mariner’s Armor (Breastplate). The party was sent to Bryn Shander and was met with a crazed Keolix while drinking at Northlook After much investigation of the parchment on Keolix, the party sought a man named Rog Drannian. Rog explained the recent incidents in the mines near Termalaine and suggest meeting a man named Drogoth Rendu to find out more. The party travelled to Drogoth's house and was given a bomb to reseal the mine that was opened by the Kobold miners The party went to the mines and discovered the dead bodies of the kobold miners and parchments containing aberration sketches The party were ambused by aberrations and they succesfully repelled the attack and some Grell ran away After some time exploring, the party found a ruin containing a purple crystal surrounded by magic circles. They found the rest of the kobold miners with intellect devourers roaming in the room The party struggled but succesfully killed the Intellect Devourer. While investigating the crystal, a Mind Flayer showed himself and attacked the party. Ghaul'Rakshava decided to use the bomb to cause a cave-in the ruins but that was after Poenentia died after being attacked by a intellect devourer. The rest of the party escaped succesfully but was ambushed by Drogoth, who was pursuing the crystal. Rog Drannian came to the party aid and Drogoth died to a self inflicted fireball.
