Exposing the golden heart to the deadly power of the Demon Zapper has managed to transform the heart into a magical stone of gold. Delighted by this outcome, the blue abishai returns the favor by attempting to kill you. After defeating him, a familiar voice from the abishai's corpse directs you to Arkhan's Tower, where only a red abishai is present to challenge you in a fight to the death to see if you are worthy of an audience with Tiamat. Once that has been dealt with and you were directed by the voice to Tiamat's lair, the Dragon Queen herself congratulates you for passing her tests and welcomes you as her new champion. Elturel itself is now close to sinking into the River Styx, and clashes between devils and demons across the city have intensified since your previous visit there. And upon returning to Arkhan's Tower with the eponymous dragonborn, he now entrusts you with your most dangerous quest yet in his bid to become Avernus' newest ruler: Eliminating various devils and demons that are most likely to attempt to take over Avernus, including the archdevil Bel and the demon lord Yeenoghu. But before you can begin, you decided to return to the Wandering Emporium, which is currently stationed near the Stygian Dock, to meet up with Dara. Arriving at the dock, you also decide to finally help out the horned devil Bezelsteen in testing out his experimental diving bell in exchange for repairs on your infernal war machines, which have been heavily damaged from the battle in Elturel.

And as promised for helping him complete the experiment, he begins working on repairs for your infernal war machines while you look around the docks for any sight of the Wandering Emporium.

While initially willing to let you go in exchange for freeing the pit fiend currently stationed at the Maw, the amnizu decides to kill you instead once it became clear that you were sent by someone to deny Lucille of his inherited prize from Zariel. Surrounded by powerful devils unwilling to let you deal a killing blow on the demon lord, you stood your ground and try to complete your objective as soon as possible before you become overwhelmed by them.
