Long discussion on RAW vs. RAI. Started with one DM on the Discord channel I am a part of complaining about being able to polymorph in to a dinosaur even if you haven't seen one. I mentored other DMs on when to use RAF to sort issues out, which seemed completely new to them. Two hours about setting tone for future games on channel x 10 DMs (just counting actives in conversation).

Get an item from one of the premiere adventures (DDAL 07-11 and 07-12) for a tier-appropriate character or upgrade a Dedicated DM item by +1. Item choices are a Nine Lives Stealer longsword named Love's Bite and a staff of striking that creates a drone audible to 100 feet when rapidly spun. One award for Orccon.

Upgraded +1 half plate

Multiclassed in to Divination Wizard. (Not going to note every spell chosen)

Take XGE as a +1. Drop fire bolt for toll the dead. Drop feather fall and mirror image for absorb elements and shatter.

Add up to a rare scroll from PHB and up to a rare potion from PHB to a tier appropriate character. Chose Wall of Force and Potion of Invulnerability

Copy wall of force and steel wind strike from scrolls. Copy animate objects from spellbook. Yes log is a different day since the 2 hour mod went 5!

New DM promised a longer run then disappeared...after trying to award XP from the whole chapter. I went back and recalculated appropriate XP based on actual encounters.

Buy thieves' tools and disguise kit (proficient in both). Also slightly rework character, dropping light and silent image for thaumaturgy and feather fall.

Copy fear and haste from captured spellbook, scribe magic weapon from scroll. (With Guidance it's an auto-succeed). Took fireball and counterspell as basic 5th level spells.

Copy lightning bolt, arcane lock, knock and unseen servant.

Copy wall of fire. Take Arcane Eye and Polymorph on level

Play w/ Tom C's Necra, who just came from Amber Temple. I take Catnap and Life Transference on leveling up for him. Then I copy 60 levels of spells... Dispel Magic, Fly, Tiny Hut, Hypnotic Pattern (12), Slow, Tongues, Sleet Storm, Remove Curse (22.5), Major Image, Phantom Steed (31.5), See Invisibility (32.5), Detect Magic* (33), Detect Thoughts* (34), Enlarge/Reduce (36), Water Breathing (39), Locate Object* (40), Grease (41), Magic Mouth (43), Animate Dead (46), Gentle Repose (48), Spider Climb (50), Rope Trick (52), Sending (55), Chromatic Orb (56), Clairvoyance* (57.5), Alter Self (59.5); buy second book
