RP Varis in to accepting a Dark Gift. He has 3 uses of scrying. But his voice is limited to a whisper and his smile is evil and cruel. Unlike every player who I have DMed after they ran Amber Temple, I RP the flaw and essentially get nothing from the gift. Does putting RP over power make Varis AL illegal now? [THIS IS SNARK; Varis passed the save.]

Party has earned 2786.66 GP each, contingent on being able to move the 2.5 tons of stuff out of the Amber Temple. Varis used an additional L3 spell slot and 3 hit dice.

Agreed to continue rest of campaign outside of AL, allowing divergent paths for the Barovia Varis and freeing PCs for non-Barovia
