Insects called by it are cruel, biting and stinging all save for the creature attuned to the staff. Mildy can craft more of these staves, and all can be recalled to her with an action so long as she and the staff are on the same plane. Wild Wind (Elemental Essence Shard - Air)
rare
SJ-DC-PHP-OJW-02 Master of the Helm (playtest)
Show
Notes:
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a sorcerer)
This crackling crystal contains the essence of an elemental plane. As an action, you can attach the shard to a Tiny object (such as a weapon or a piece of jewelry) or detach it. It falls off if your attunement to it ends. You can use the shard as a spellcasting focus while you hold or wear it. When you use a Metamagic option on a spell while you are holding or wearing the shard, you can use that property.
Air. You can immediately fly up to 60 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
Song Craft. Whenever this item is struck or is used to strike a foe, its bearer hears a fragment of an ancient song. The crackling, cosmic riff of Ippodromo’s storm takes the form of a cosmic speeder, allowing them to ride away from enemies unhindered. The triumphant chorus “Gonna ride the whirlwind/It ain't dangerous enough for me” blares in the wake of the violent, cutting winds.
Boots of Speed
rare
DDHC-NF: The Doomed Apotheosis

Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
While you wear these boots, you can take a Bonus Action to click the boots’ heels together. If you do, the boots double your Speed, and any creature that makes an Opportunity Attack against you has Disadvantage on the attack roll. If you click your heels together again, you end the effect.
When you’ve used the boots’ property for a total of 10 minutes, the magic ceases to function for you until you finish a Long Rest.
Fork of Eddy Summoning
rare
DDHC-NF: The Doomed Apotheosis
Show
Notes:
Wondrous Item, rare
This Tiny tuning fork crackles with harmless, multicolored magical energy. As a Magic action, you can tap the fork against any object to summon an Eldritch Eddy (see appendix B). The eddy appears in an unoccupied space as close to you as possible. The eddy is Friendly to you and your allies, and it obeys your commands. If you fail to command it, the eddy defends itself against attackers but takes no other actions. It takes its turn immediately after you on your Initiative count. The eddy disappears after 1 hour, when it dies, or when you dismiss it as a Bonus Action. The fork can’t be used this way again until the next dawn.
