The tablet comes with a triangleshaped, stone planchette. This planchette must be resting on the lettered side of the board for the board's magic to function. As you cast the spell, you call on the ancestral spirits of both githzerai and githyanki to help guide the planchette across the tablet's surface, answering your questions by pointing to the letters or words on the tablet.
