You heroically defended the Church of All Souls in the Border Kingdom town of Emrys against an attack from foul undead creatures. The clergy of all the different faiths that worship there are greatly indebted to you. Whenever you are adventuring in or around the town of Emrys, you may visit the Church of All Souls, and, regardless of your faith, request one spell a day from the Spellcasting Services table for free (as if you had the Acolyte Background). The only cost paid for the spell is the base price for the consumed material component, if any is required. Once you have used this story award five times, remove this feature, but keep the story award. It might be of use in the future

The Character´s blood is tainted, and they will always carry with them the scars of their adventure. If they like, at any future point, they can seek out the yuan-ti to exploit this connection and transform into a yuan-ti pureblood, keeping their ability scores but losing their current racial features and gaining: Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can´t discern color in darkness, only shades of grey. Innate Spellcasting: You know the poison spraw cantrip. You can cast animal friendship an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can target only snakes with it. Starting at 3rd level, you can also cast suggestion with this trait. Once you cast it you can´t do so again until you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells. Magic Resistance. You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Poison Immunity. You are immune to posion damage and the poisoned condition.

Favored of the Worm. Any character that became worm-infected during this adventure earns this story award. Their flesh is covered in small black pock marks; even illusion magic does not disguise their presence. These characters feel a bond with insects and bugs (worms specifically) and feels a kinship with undead creatures even though they may not be friendly.
