We began the adventure, and I took things a little slowly. I bungled some of the map details regarding visibility. The party met Respen Shadowswimmer, reached Plagueshield Point, battled four Water Weirds, saved the drow escapee (Eskellika), then made their way up to Upper Plagueshield Point. There, they battled two barbed devils and two imps. Ljubmir the Bone Devil fled to the Geode before the characters saw it. The characters took a short rest in the Commander's Chamber. The characters then proceeded along the hallway and solved the mural puzzle (Bonus Objective A), gaining access to Respen's records room, where they battled four Helmed Horrors. They took another short rest, and made their way to the demonologist's tower, where they just barely survived the encounter with Chain Devil Viltharn and his four imp servants. They retreated to Respen's records room for a long rest, ending the first 2/3rds of the module.
